Phaeron12
Okay, so Lu Zhiye is the most painfully written tsundere ever and I am HERE for it. Like, he literally tells her to leave, calls her a lingering ghost, and then immediately feels terrible about it? The guy can't even hide his feelings for five seconds. Every time he says something harsh, the narration immediately undercuts it — his ears turn red, his throat bobs, he kicks the wall in regret. It's like his body is betraying his mouth constantly. And Su Nuonuo? She's not having it. She doesn't back down, she doesn't cry and run away for real — she throws a tiny stone at him as protest, which is honestly the cutest power move I've ever seen. A literal pebble to the arm. She's like, "I traveled all this way and you're mean to me?" and then immediately pivots to playing the grievance card with Grandpa Lu. The kid's a strategist. But the moment that got me was when he finally mutters "I was wrong" and she responds with "It's good that you know you were wrong~" while eating a dough stick. She absolutely won. She got him to apologize AND got free breakfast out of it. Classic Su Nuonuo — she knows exactly how to handle him. Their dynamic is everything. He pushes, she pulls. He acts cold, she acts warm. And underneath all that, you can feel how much he actually cares — the way he shields her on the bus, supports her waist so she doesn't fall, keeps her close in that crowded space. He says "Hold onto me properly. Don't fall" and honestly the subtext is screaming.
I need to process what just happened in these chapters. Jiang Guo'an comes home, finds the place spotless, discovers his wife has washed his bedsheets, and what does he do? He cooks. He makes stewed dough slices. From scratch. Kneading the dough, rolling it out, dropping pieces into boiling water like he's done this a thousand times. This man who was sleeping in the office and complaining about his wife suddenly becomes domestic, and the scene is written with such tenderness that I actually felt something in my chest. He knocks on her door—actually KNOCKS, doesn't just barge in—and says 'Food's ready.' She says she already ate. He sits down, eats his bowl, glances at her closed door, and then leaves the second bowl on the cutting board anyway. That second bowl is the most important object in this entire chapter. He doesn't force her to eat it. He doesn't demand gratitude. He just... leaves it there. Like an offering. Like he's testing whether she'll come out. And then the internal monologue where he catches himself thinking she 'wasn't entirely without merit' and immediately slaps his own brain—'Stop right there—what if this woman is just putting on an act?' This is a man who is genuinely confused by his own softening. He wants to be angry at her, but he can't stay angry when she's washing his sheets and keeping the kitchen clean. Their relationship is still so fragile. She's changed, he's suspicious, but there's this undercurrent of care that neither of them can quite name yet. And I am HERE for it.
The stakes in this story are layered like an onion and I love it. On the surface, Guan Xiyue is a concubine with zero power—assigned to a remote courtyard, starved by her maid skimming her food, completely cut off from the main house. But the real danger isn't just her low status. It's that she's hiding a wounded fugitive in her home while her husband is recovering from the very illness she was brought in to cure. If the Zhou family finds out, what happens? She was literally sold to them. She has no family to appeal to. Her 'lucky mole' is the only thing that gave her any value in this house, and now it's turned bright red after a head injury—could that signal something dangerous? Then there's Ling Jingren. He's being hunted. He has deep wounds, a fever, and he's clearly someone important enough that people are trying to kill him. He warned her: 'Do not make a sound.' He's not just some random passerby—he's a soldier or an assassin or something, and he brought trouble right to her doorstep. The tension between them is electric. She's protecting him, but she has no idea what she's gotten herself into. And he's suspicious of her the entire time—accusing her of taking advantage when she's literally applying pressure to stop his bleeding. Classic miscommunication but it works because the stakes are so high. The original owner's family is also a conflict engine. They sold her for twenty taels. They beat her cousin into bruises. They see her as a tool, not a person. And she's still thinking about them—wondering how to escape the Zhou family but also carrying this awareness that her family would sell her again in a heartbeat. The internal conflict is real: she wants to survive, but survival means playing a game where she's the weakest piece on the board. Every chapter raises the question: what happens when the pieces start moving?
A well written story and intriguing storyline keep up the good work author

The shameless review by the author !!!!!
keep updating for more power stoneslove from India
Cute and sweet. All in all the story makes me wish love like that still existed
What can i even say about this one, I'm pretty much speechless to even make a remark. Though it's interesting on its own way. Specially the hint about the revenge. I'm dying to see that?
Very slow progression. Multiple chapters wasted on a single boss.
Read Chapter 1 till 3The first paragraph reminded me of the song Poet, Soldier and Ruler lol. The start is very strong, I really love it. Story takes fold in urban I believe? In the middle of the war. The story is quiet slower pacing, but its alright since everything was properly conveyed. Please give this a try.
