I keep coming back to the imagery of cleaning in these chapters and I think it's not accidental. Qiao Huan uses flour to clean pig intestines — something dirty and overlooked, turned into something nourishing and valuable. She teaches Jian Ying to clean herself with shampoo and shower gel, helping her shed the grime of her old life. Yunzhou's eyes are healing, literally clearing his vision. And then there's the forensic work — Qiao Huan teaching people how to examine bodies, to find truth in what others would just throw away. It's all the same theme: taking something damaged or hidden and revealing what's underneath. The pig intestines are a great symbol for this. They're cheap, they're messy, most people wouldn't bother with them. But Qiao Huan puts in the effort — the flour, the boiling, the braising — and turns them into something the whole family enjoys. That's basically her character arc in miniature. She takes people others overlook — Jian Ying, Yunzhou, even Lei Ting the dog — and invests in them. The grandmother raising Jian Ying well despite poverty, the 'upper beam is crooked, lower beams will be crooked' line about family education — it all ties together. The story keeps asking: what do we choose to clean, and what do we choose to throw away? Yunzhou's mother saying 'if you treat her badly I'll beat you' is also a kind of cleaning — removing the possibility of cruelty from their family. And Qiao Huan's line 'haste makes waste, small gains prevent great things' when she talks about trusting Jian Ying — that's the philosophy running through everything. Patience. Investment. Trusting the process.
I need to talk about Old Man Su because this man is EVERYTHING. The moment he sees Su Muyao surrounded by villagers who just want to touch her for luck, he doesn't hesitate—he rushes out, scolds them, and literally raises his pipe like he's about to strike the guy who suggested taking the girl away. This is a grandfather who would fight the whole village for his granddaughter. And it's not just aggression. There's this beautiful moment where he remembers it's cold by the river and goes back to get her the yellow tiger-head hat. He carries her everywhere. He calls her his "little dumpling." The way he looks at her—it's clear she's the center of his world, and he knows it. Su Muyao's relationship with her father, Su Sanlang, is also adorable. He's the goofy, lovable dad who gets exasperated but is completely smitten with her. When she asks to go fishing and he finally gives in, he's the type of dad who warns her about the cold but can't say no. The scene where he snatches away her pork to fry for dinner instead of letting her use it as bait—that's classic dad energy. But the most disturbing relationship dynamics are in the Liu household. Liu Wentao is a monster—beating his wife, trying to kill his own babies. And Old Madam Liu? She immediately blames Caifeng for not mentioning the birthmark sooner, never once acknowledging that her own SON is the one who threw the baby away. The gaslighting is real. Meanwhile, Dayi and Erya are hiding by the window, terrified, and the older sister covers the younger's mouth to keep them from making noise. These two girls are surviving in a war zone. The contrast between the Su family's warmth and the Liu family's cruelty is almost painful.
This is my first review and my first web novel, so I may not know the exact measures to judge a story but I do know when a novel keeps pulling me in. this is one of those rare gems I can’t stop reading. The depth of the protagonist, shaped by a hundred lifetimes of suffering and wisdom, makes every moment feel meaningful. The world is rich with mystery, power struggles, and a sense of destiny that keeps unfolding with each chapter. I don’t know why this novel is so underrated, but for me, it’s something special one that lingers in my mind long after I stop reading.
The story is— fast paced, but apart from that, everything thing seem in place, from the world development to the character design. Kudos to you
How I explain? this novel is really really good. mysterious, and most important every details of main characters movement was awesome.
I will hope this will be a good story. And to think that the author used the names of other countries and also the accent haha damn this is interesting! ?
The story is very good and engaging too. mark is already started feeling for Jay only 2nd chapters. it's really good. I'm bl Manhwa reader you know so I like it this story. ?
Honest review: In my opinion, this novel has good story development, character design, and world-building — simple yet unique... The writing quality isn’t a problem either... Even though this novel isn’t my type, I started enjoying it after a few chapters... But the only problem is that your chapters are short and the pacing feels a bit fast... I hope you can improve that part...Glory! x'D
In an app completely over saturated with “super-level this” and cannon-fodder that”, this is a great breath of fresh air. Truly interesting female characters, main protagonist with actual hurdles and flaws, and a world I’m pretty dang excited to explore.
it's a good refreshing novel n a breath of fresh air sadly dea r no more dan 5 stars available to give
Hello, dear readers! Already being shameless enough to drop multiple works, as drop it all Author this shamelessness of rating myself 5-star is nothing before it, LOL!But!I’m serious. Like, really serious. This time, I won’t stop writing until we see the end of this story together. I owe you that much after all the time and power stones you’ve wasted on my previous attempts. So, what’s this story about? Why should you give it a shot? Let me explain.Title: I'm Crippled, So What? I Can Summon SSS-Tier Beauties to Fight Instead. The title is pretty self-explanatory, but here you go for more details. The novel follows Arthur, a young man betrayed by his family during a brutal succession war. Once a proud heir, he’s now crippled, powerless, and left with nothing. But as always with these stories, fate throws him a lifeline when he’s chosen as the host of the Sacrificial Summoning System.Yeah but, This isn’t your average, cliché system. It doesn’t talk, it doesn’t have a personality, and it doesn’t nag Arthur like those annoying systems we all hate.No predictable quests with the death penalty.Instead, it operates with clear rules and no unnecessary interference. So this is how it works: for the system to work, Arthur must make sacrifices. He needs to kill and claim souls, which he uses to perform rituals (don’t worry, I’ll explain the details in the story). After each ritual, Arthur gets to summon by choosing a racial class from three options: Humanoid, Demihuman, or Heteromorphic. (You know what these terms mean, right? If not don't worry it's explained in the story)The grade of the summon depends on the quantity and quality of the souls sacrificed. And don’t worry, this won’t be one of those repetitive, poorly planned novels where you can guess every plot twist and it feels like the story is progressing in a loop.I’ve planned everything out to keep the story fresh, engaging, and satisfying. Now, why should you read this story? And if it fits your test, let me list the reasons:System progression – stats windows, levelling, and all that litrpg stuffs.Modern setting with fantasy elements– think magic, otherworldly races, and all that set in modern reality we know.Dungeons, mercenaries, wars, and clan-building.Dual identities – A fake Identity Arthur will carry to act all cool and climb the social ranking making its name, will also being the powerless cripple.A ruthless MC – Will have some principles but, yeah really ruthless.Slow-burn romance – properly planned and meaningful, not rushed or forced. No Yuri or Yaoi – sorry, it’s just not in this story.Harem – yes, but a small one. Three women. That’s it. No catch 'em all, like Pokemon.Guys trust me, I won't drop this one. Let's go on this journey together.
I think though the writing style is a bit blunt, I love the way the author expresses his passion by his words. The words mat be simple, but they convey their meaning it's good alltogether but please differentiate paragraphs. My eyes are straining!
