Okay so I need to talk about the face-pinching scene because I literally cannot stop thinking about it. This whole dynamic between Kii and Oda is so weirdly wholesome and I'm here for it. On the surface it's just this chaotic energy from Kii—she's clearly flustered about something (anger? attachment? she won't admit which) and her solution is to physically grab Oda's face. But the way Oda reacts is what kills me. He doesn't fight back. He doesn't even seem that surprised. He just sits there, hand covering his face, looking genuinely confused like his precognition somehow failed to predict THIS of all things. And then the follow-up conversation? Chef's kiss. "Why did you pinch my face?" — asked with zero drama, zero accusation, just genuine curiosity. And Kii's internal panic is so relatable. She literally thinks about how asking "why not" would make her sound like a creepy person. The self-awareness! But what really gets me is that Oda says "please don't do that next time" — and the fact that he uses PLEASE. This is a guy who can probably see the future and still asks politely. That's not weakness, that's a whole different level of emotional maturity. Also the whole "are we companions?" moment in Chapter 11? Kii freezing up over that question is the most honest character moment in the entire passage. She's overthinking friendship labels like it's a bomb defusal. And Oda's just sitting there like "why is that a question?" — bro, you're the one who brought it up! The tension between them is everything. She's clearly afraid of him (or at least acknowledges it), but also completely unafraid in practice. That contradiction is the whole relationship in a nutshell.
Okay so let me just say—this subplot about the lost earring is actually genius. On the surface it's this tiny, almost throwaway detail. Shu Jia loses a star-shaped earring, searches everywhere, can't find it. Then Zhou Dang shows up at the supermarket and casually drops, "You left something at my place. Your earring." And just like that, it becomes this whole narrative device that forces them into a one-on-one conversation. No more Jiang Yuyu creating opportunities, no more group chaos. Just them, alone in the snack aisle, with this tiny object that becomes this huge emotional pivot point. And here's what I love about how the author structures it—the earring isn't just a plot convenience. It's the physical manifestation of everything that's been building between them. Shu Jia blocked a drink for him. She didn't even realize she was doing it until her best friend called her out. She's been sitting on the floor of her room going back to that first night she saw him, remembering the tiniest details—the shape of his eyes, the white canine tooth, the way he laughed. All this internal romantic buildup, and then the earring becomes the tangible proof that he's been noticing her too. The fact that he says "I'll give it to you when I have time" is such a perfectly casual, almost dismissive line—but the subtext is everything. He's creating a reason to see her again. He's not just returning a lost item; he's extending an invitation. And Shu Jia, bless her nervous heart, just says "alright" like she isn't internally screaming. Also can we talk about how the author uses the Weibo fan posts as a kind of Greek chorus? The fan accounts posting about how "too handsome," "addictive," "help me quit him"—it's hilarious but it also reinforces the central tension. These are girls who can't have him, and Shu Jia is the one girl who actually has. The blacklisting meme, the "Wan God Cold Palace Alliance"—all of this sets up the expectation that he's impossible, untouchable, and then the plot systematically undercuts that by showing him smiling and saying "probably" when asked if he likes her. That's a beautiful narrative payoff.

pretty good, slow, but gave alot of characters They play a role in the progress of the story, and they are not brain dead
i don't know if it the author that deletes bad reviews but i don't know how no one seems to mention these problems : 1- first somehow a human managed to fight and trick death one of the supreme existences a human 2- second upon reincarnation mc wants to seek revenge because the former host got his ass handed to him in a fair 1vs1 duel that he chose to participate in 3- Author doesn't seem to know how martial art work since mc can perfectly use his old Martial arts with his new body even though he doesn't have the muscle memory for it which makes it dumb since without training in those art mc only has theoretical knowledge of his marital art not the practical one so no way he could directly use them in a fight and he somehow beats people who are one realm above him in frontal fight
