Let me just say this: Chen Xi's plan to send her brothers to the Northwest while she goes to Heilongjiang is one of the most satisfying plot moves I've read in a while. She remembered from her previous life that the south was brutal—she almost died of exhaustion—and the north was actually comfortable with only half a year of work. So she uses that knowledge to manipulate the system. But what really sold me was HOW she did it. She didn't just demand it. She played the sweet, sensible girl. Called the office lady "sister," gave her White Rabbit milk candy (which apparently she couldn't even eat in her first life), and then dropped a watch worth over 100 yuan like it was nothing. The office lady was so charmed she not only agreed to send all three triplets together but also CHANGED Chen Xi's gender on paper so she could live in a single room. The detail about the household registration book being in the mother's room, the mother being "sure Chen Xi was a coward"—all of this builds this delicious dramatic irony where the reader knows something the antagonist doesn't. Chen Xi isn't just surviving; she's actively rewriting her destiny and the people around her have no idea what's coming.
Okay so I need to talk about this one moment because it's genuinely one of those passages that just stops you mid-scroll. Let me paint it for you: "She cut behind the fish's head and let the blood drain in water to whiten the flesh. Then she removed the bones and skin, slicing the meat into translucent, paper-thin pieces, arranging them like petals on a porcelain plate." I literally had to pause and re-read that. The imagery is so vivid it's almost unfair. You can SEE the dish being made — the way the meat catches light, the porcelain plate, mint and orange peel scattered like flower stamens. It's not just a cooking scene, it's a whole aesthetic moment. The author could've just said 'she made sashimi' and moved on, but no — they took the time to make you feel like you're standing in that kitchen watching her work. And the substitution detail? 'The original recipe called for aromatic herbs, but since she didn't have them, she substituted with mint leaves.' That tiny line tells you SO much about the world. She's in a place where certain ingredients aren't available. She's adapting. There's a whole implied history here — an 'ancient version' of the recipe, perilla being mentioned as a 'what if' — that makes the setting feel lived-in and real. This is the kind of scene that makes you want to close the book and just stare at a wall for five minutes because the atmosphere is so thick.
'Verdant mountains surrounded her, streams flowed with crystalline clarity, and the air carried the fragrance of flowers and fresh earth.' This description is everything. The moment Xueying enters the Spirit Spring Space, I felt like I was there. The author really knows how to paint a scene. I keep coming back to the image of the small wooden cabin beside a sparkling brook. It's such a cozy, almost storybook image that contrasts sharply with the apocalyptic doom waiting outside. That juxtaposition is brilliant—it makes the space feel like a sanctuary, a literal pocket of paradise in a world about to end. The red fox description is also stunning: 'Its sleek body glowed like living flame, and in its bright eyes flickered an intelligent gleam.' I can see this in my head like a Studio Ghibli character. The visual design of this space is top-tier. And the practical worldbuilding is solid too—the spring water heals wounds and accelerates plant growth, the cabin has books of ancient knowledge, the space can store unlimited items. It's a well-thought-out system with clear rules and limits (the fox warns about overdependence). The author isn't just giving her a magic cheat code; they're building a world with internal logic. I'm fully immersed.
The story is really nice. I love it!

It's a good novel and does have quite a lot of potential. Seems like this mc primary goal is to have a huge harem first and formost so if you dislike huge harem, then prob skip it but otherwise you can give it a try.
