Jaimaabhadrakali
Okay so I need to talk about this moment where Jiang Ning falls from the tree and Gu Jianshen catches her, and then—get this—she literally hops out of his arms like he's some kind of venomous snake. She said it in the text: "as if he were a venomous snake or a fierce beast she needed to avoid at all costs." And the narrator literally tells us: "Oddly enough, Gu Jianshen felt his embrace suddenly turn a bit empty." I literally screamed. What a man. He goes through all that trouble, rides after her, saves her from crashing into a kid, catches her when she falls, and her first instinct is to scramble out of his grip like she just touched something contaminated. And then she runs straight into Wen Ya's arms and hugs her like her life depends on it. The contrast is everything. But here's what got me—the fact that Gu Jianshen's embrace felt "empty" afterward. That's not nothing. That's a man who didn't even realize he was holding onto something until it was gone. And Jiang Ning? She's so wrapped up in protecting her sister and surviving that she doesn't even register the romantic tension. She's over there thinking about Little Stone's life and conspiracy plots while he's over there having his moment ruined. Also the Wen Ya friendship? Jiang Ning chasing that carriage on foot like a maniac, risking her life, because she genuinely cares. And Wen Ya turning the carriage around because she had a bad feeling. That's real sisterhood right there. Not romantic love, but something just as powerful. The hot water scene too—"Drink a cup of hot water; it might help." Simple, modern, almost comedic, but it shows how these two women communicate. No grand declarations, just quiet support.
Okay so this chapter is wild because the whole plot pivots on one scene and I need to talk about it. Yan Zhao getting surrounded by those girls—it starts as a classic bullying setup, right? We've all seen it. But then she doesn't crumble. She actually fights back. "That's also because Gu Yu allowed me to stay here. What right do you have to say anything?" And that line? That's the plot turning point. She's not just surviving, she's claiming her space. Then Gu Yu shows up and instead of just swooping in as the hero, the author does something really smart—he watches her first. He sees her standing her ground, and you can feel him recalibrating everything he thought he knew about her. The confrontation with the teacher is another brilliant beat. Gu Yu draws a hard line: "From now on, I won't be visiting your home." No drama, no yelling, just cold finality. It shows he's not just protective—he's strategic. And the house-hunting subplot? That's the author quietly telling us this relationship is moving to the next level without making a big deal out of it. "Now is the perfect time." Such a simple line but it carries so much weight. The plot isn't just about conflict—it's about Yan Zhao earning her place in this world, and Gu Yu recognizing that she doesn't need to be saved, she needs to be believed in.
Let me just say—the pacing here is sneaky. On the surface it's just a bunch of PK rounds strung together, right? Rock-paper-scissors, dance, PK, repeat. But the author is playing 4D chess with the structure. Day one Yun Yun wins rock-paper-scissors by accident and gets stuck dancing while starving. Day two she wins AGAIN and the audience starts calling her 'Luck Queen.' That's the setup. Then Y enters the stream and everything shifts—the rhythm changes because now there's a new variable in every PK. The first PK with Y is almost comedic in how quickly it resolves: he sends gifts to Caicai instead, Yun Yun gets to eat, everyone panics in the bullet comments. Then the second PK is where the real structure kicks in. Y enters again, Gou Ge shows up, and suddenly we're in a full-on three-way standoff. The author uses Xiao Wu's announcements as natural chapter breaks—'We've reached the crucial round!'—which gives each PK its own mini-arc while still building toward the five-win streak climax. And the most thrilling round? The one against Lanlan where the score was 6190 to 6010. The bullet comments literally say 'this round was great value for money!' which is the author winking at us. The pacing never drags because every round has a different emotional beat: relief, confusion, excitement, tension, triumph. By the time Yun Yun hits five wins, you've been on a rollercoaster and you don't even realize how much time passed.
Okay, let me just say this first: Madam Bai is one of the most competent female leads I've read in a while, and the way she handles the teacup incident is absolutely chef's kiss. She doesn't just cry about being poisoned, she INVESTIGATES. She keeps the tampered cup, she sends people to track down the maid, she pieces together the imperial medicine angle — and then she HANDS it to the Marquis with all the evidence neatly organized. That's not a victim. That's a strategist. But what really got me is her relationship with Yan Tingbai. He's eager, impulsive — wants to storm in and demand answers immediately. She's the one who reins him in: "Don't rush." And honestly, that dynamic works so well because it's not about who's smarter, it's about them TRUSTING each other's strengths. He brings the authority and the muscle; she brings the patience and the precision. When he's the one who knows exactly where the medicine bottle is in the Marquis's bedside drawer and acts fast to save him — that's not just plot convenience, that's a character who has been paying attention his whole life. And then there's the second branch. Madam Wang. Yan Jingzheng. Wang Chenbi. The text doesn't even need to show them doing anything overtly evil — just that moment when Madam Wang stops halfway home and feels "uneasy in her heart" is enough. You can practically SEE the guilt radiating off them. Yan Jingzheng's face "instantly darkened" at the word uneasy. That's not a reaction you fake. The maid who actually tampered with the cup is interesting too — she's not even connected to Madam Wang directly. She's a stray grudge, a pawn. But the fact that the MEDICINE came from the imperial court through Madam Wang's brother? That's the real thread. Someone with resources, someone with access to things ordinary people can't get. And Madam Bai knows it. She doesn't go after the maid because the maid is just a symptom, not the disease. "The more flawless something appeared, the greater the flaw." That line about the cup being clean after repair when it should have been stained — that's Madam Bai at her sharpest. She noticed something everyone else missed because she actually USES that cup every day. She knows its history, its texture, its quirks. The person who loves something enough to notice its imperfections is the person who can't be fooled.
Ok. After reading a little bit, I realised that I laughed. I can say that it has already hooked me because I have not encountered a novel that made me laugh for a long time. The colourfulness, reactions and behaviour of the main character made me laugh the most. Since I pay attention to how the characters work and their reactions, this thing, which is a factor that causes me to leave many novels from the third or fourth chapter, did not bother me at all.On the contrary, the main character himself seemed to be quite good.Of course, even if I can't comment much on world-building issues at the moment, we will still be able to see everything in the future with the way the story works.I give this novel 5 stars.
well, we all know what I'm gonna rate this master-peas!

Wireless is a raw, edgy read that mixes steamy romance with modern gamer culture. Luna, a badass streamer, juggles her wild online life with the unspoken tension of her best friend, Kai. It's a fun, fast-paced, and unapologetic story that doesn't hold back.
