Okay so Nanny Zhang is genuinely one of my favorite characters in this whole passage and I need to talk about her because she is WILD. Like, think about it—she's over sixty, been with the Shen family since she got married, basically watched Mr. Shen grow up, and she just straight-up tells him 'why pick on a child?' Who does that? That's some serious seniority flex, and the fact that Mr. Shen doesn't even argue back tells you everything you need to know about their dynamic. She's not just staff; she's family in all but name. And then there's the whole 'Miss has already eaten' moment—she's trying to protect Mengqi by redirecting the conversation, and it's actually really sweet in a gruff way. The scene where she hugs Mengqi and says 'your face will look ugly if you cry too much' made me laugh out loud because of course that's the thing that works. This kid is vain as hell and Nanny Zhang knows it. But what really got me is how she looks at Xiao Tuanzi and notices she looks exactly like Mr. Shen as a kid. That moment of recognition, that stunned silence—she's connecting dots that the parents are desperately trying to keep hidden. I keep wondering if Nanny Zhang figures it out before anyone else does, and whether she'll become an ally to Qingxuan or stay loyal to the family structure. Her role here is so much bigger than just 'comfort the crying child.' She's the quiet observer, the one who sees everything but says very little. And that's probably why she's going to be crucial later.
The pacing in these chapters is absolutely ruthless and I love it. You go from the slow, almost domestic rhythm of cave allocations and dormitory excitement—girls chatting late into the night about who gets which room—to Lin Kexin cutting pig grass with the efficiency of someone who's done this for eight years in a past life, to Liu Xuewei's pathetic attempt at reconciliation, to the Lin household being mysteriously emptied, to Lin Kexin hiring a ten-year-old with CANDIES to deliver her work report, to her secretly transporting ten thousand jin of grain through the black market. That is a WHOLE arc compressed into what feels like three chapters. And the author doesn't let you catch your breath. The transition from the communal dorm scene to the cave breakfast scene is almost seamless—you're still in that warm, excited morning atmosphere and then suddenly you're watching Liu Xuewei get absolutely dismantled by someone who refuses to play nice. The chapter breaks are doing interesting work too. Chapter 13 ends with Lin Jianguo clutching his wife's wrist saying "we've been robbed" and Chapter 14 opens with Wang Cuihua already wailing at the police station. No time to process. Just straight into the chaos. And then Lin Kexin, completely unbothered, hiring a kid with candy. The pacing mirrors her emotional state perfectly—everyone else is in crisis and she's already three steps ahead.

I love it! I love the interaction between the female lead and the male lead it is heartwarming and nice. I think this book will develop into a good story I hope for the best.
finally this novel have many chapters, i have been waiting for a month to read this novel and i really enjoyed the novel, i hope this novel doesn't stop in the middle of the story like other novels
If u think he’s gonna have revenge or even attempt to get it early, u are mistaken. He actually returns from the mountains and becomes the lap dog of the family that betrayed him. Also there are a lot of smut scenes with random side characters which is very uncomfortable. Not my cup of tea
This is a really great read! The story is well paced, and the quality of writing is one of the best I have seen for a while, which made it really enjoyable to read! The characters are dynamic and entertaining, and the overall reading was really immersive. The chapters are a little long, but still excellent nonetheless! Amazing work Author!
Probably one of the best reincarnated into a villain novels I've read in a while.
Do you know why this book is not good?No one likes a beta weak MC who gets tortured just to make the hero strong and arrange the harem to get together no one hastr fetish.
