Let me just sit with this for a moment. Qin Buwen was shot to death by Li Yunmu five years ago. She is now ALIVE, hiding in someone else's residence, pretending to be someone else. And Li Yunmu is sitting in the main hall RIGHT NOW, waiting to meet 'Vice Minister of Revenue Li Yunmu'—the man who became a hero for killing Prince Chang'an, who was rumored to have endured humiliation by disguising himself as the prince's companion. The stakes here are INCREDIBLE. If Qin Buwen reveals herself to Li Yunmu, what happens? Does he recognize her? Will he kill her again? Does he even believe she's dead? And on the other side—Yan Tang is receiving letters that suggest she might be alive, and he is literally falling apart. The conflict isn't just external (who knows her secret, who will expose her), it's internal too. She has to navigate being around the man who killed her while pretending to be someone else, while the two most important men in her life are circling closer to the truth. The flashback reveals something devastating about Li Yunmu's motivation: 'Back then, all he had wanted was to kill her so he could spend the rest of his life with the one he truly loved.' Prince Chang'an. He killed HER to be with someone else. And now he's unmarried, carrying a scandalous reputation, and apparently still haunted by something. Qin Buwen's reaction to hearing about Li Yunmu's reputation is the most chilling moment in these chapters. She 'wanted to laugh' but 'didn't dare.' She 'quietly turned her head away, pretending to admire the scenery while forcibly suppressing the corners of her mouth that kept trying to curl upward.' This is not grief. This is not fear. This is something far more dangerous—satisfaction. She helped create those rumors. She weaponized his humiliation. And now she's going to walk into the same room as him. The tension is unbearable and I cannot stop reading.
That green dress. I keep coming back to it. It appeared in Su Yunzhao's coming-of-age ceremony, was deliberately ruined by Su Yunxiu, and now Su Yunxiu thinks she can weaponize it again by sending it as a 'gift.' The color green in this context isn't just a fashion choice—it's the color of the original host's humiliation, her erasure, her forced invisibility. Every time it appears, it's a reminder that the world wanted Su Yunzhao to remain small and broken. But here's the thing that got me thinking: Su Yunzhao's entire arc in these chapters is about refusing to be the character the story wrote for her. The text literally calls this chapter 'The Cannon Fodder's Awakening.' She's not just surviving; she's rejecting the narrative itself. When she tells the guards to tie up Lamei, when she forces Mama Wang to eat the poisoned soup, she's not just fighting individuals—she's fighting the idea that she deserves to be mistreated. The recurring motif of food is also significant. Poisoned soup, blood-stained rice, the ceremonial gown forced down a throat—food in this novel is never just sustenance. It's control, it's punishment, it's the mechanism by which power is exerted over bodies. And Su Yunzhao's reversal of every food-based threat is her way of saying: I will not be consumed. I will be the one who feeds.
Got bored. Wrote whatever comes to mind. Don't expect it to be great. I could trash it if I get sick of it. so enjoy it if you can.btw, I won't be proofreading this. so if there's grammatical errors. then ;P hahahaha

Hope this is not some BS novel where the MC gains 10× the experience but then at some point people can match his strength or leveling speed
Great pacing, good balance between exposition and dialogue. Story is building well and I’m excited to see what comes next.
Adui big fan of Infinite Mana, hope working on three novels now at the same time won't be too stressful for you. Excited to see where this one and gem goes.
while the world background is a bit cliche but the story development is quite good and the writing style is easy to understand without being convoluted. Hopefully the update speed will be better
