I need to talk about Mo Tingyan because this man is an absolute menace in the best possible way. Let me just start by saying: the man saw his wife being verbally attacked by her stepsister and instead of just walking in like a normal person, he orchestrated an ENTIRE SCENE. That's not romance—that's tactical warfare with a side of affection. But here's what actually got me: the nightmare scene. Wen Zhi hears him murmuring in his sleep, goes to check on him, and he instinctively chokes her before even opening his eyes. Two seconds later he realizes who it is and just... goes back to his roguish self like nothing happened. This man has trauma. Deep, serious trauma. And the fact that he immediately masks it with a joke about a beautiful snake chasing him? That's someone who has learned to never show weakness. And Wen Zhi—she doesn't push. She doesn't demand answers. She just says "go back to sleep" and leaves. That's not indifference, that's respect. These two have this weird, unspoken understanding where they both have secrets and neither is forcing the other to unpack them yet. That's actually really mature for a romance novel. The dynamic with Mo Tingjue is also fascinating. The man literally said "you'll fall for me again" like he's some kind of romantic protagonist. Meanwhile Mo Tingyan is over here buying custom necklaces and running a secret identity. Who do you think is actually winning this? Wen Zhi sleeping between two men who think they own her and neither of them realizing she's the one holding all the cards.
The worldbuilding in this chapter operates on multiple levels, and the spatial pouch detail is where it shines brightest. Chen Chuqing produces this unremarkable cloth pouch, and everyone collectively gasps. Chen Miaomiao, despite her Yuanying Laozu status, is internally screaming because she recognizes what a spatial compression artifact is—and it's something even her previous life's world hadn't achieved. This single detail tells us so much about the cultivation world's technological and magical advancement. The scene at Yunluo Chenjia feels alive with contradictory signals. On one hand, they're a declining branch family that bullied the original host. On the other, they're casually gifting spatial pouches and boasting about a third-level Liandanshi. The author paints this as a den of dragons and tigers—ordinary-looking on the surface but hiding extraordinary power. Chen Miaomiao's realization that she needs to tread carefully here shows the worldbuilding is working: the setting itself becomes a character that demands respect and caution. The visual imagery of the kneeling scene is almost cinematic. The dull thuds of knees hitting ground, the cycle of rising and falling, the collective terror of the Xiushi. But what really brings the world to life is the cultivation hierarchy embedded in every interaction. A third-level Liandanshi commands respect even from main family members. Pills contain Lingqi. Jindan Xiushi seek out higher-level alchemists. These details aren't info-dumped—they're woven into dialogue and character reactions, making the power structure feel organic and lived-in.
Interesting, love novels where the mc is actually a villain. As long as the mc doesn’t soften up it will continue being a 10/10 form me. Please make sure the mc stays a proper villain author
I read it about halfway through, and honestly, it is a very interesting book. I really like how the Biocores differ from the regular cultivation that WN offers; a very fresh start for me. Mind you, I don't read too many apocalyptic books, but decided to turn this into my first, and it is definitely a pleasant read. I like how the character and book dives into a field that's different from what other books show. he isn't some battle maniac diving into just fights, but there is weapon designs and much more, which is a neat thing. Still gonna read more to see how the character design carries forward, but I see potential in the story development. Although I love evil mc's or unorthodox mc's, I'm hoping this one won't be toooooo cliched.
Impressive , I must say. It portrays how brothers should get along with themselves, as to survive in dangerous situations. It has a sense of tense in and I like the author's style of writing.
MC is basically hulk in a human skin. Though MC loves his muscles, he is not a muscle brain. He is smart, though he doesn't like giving fucks needlessly.
hope u update it daily cuz i enjoy it so much
Hey, Jallen here. This is a work that I had briefly published a while back on Webnovel and it's now back. The concept is a mix of Cultivation Online and Monster Evolution. So, if you are a fan of those books/concept, then you will surely like this book.Let me answer the common questions here.Q: Will there be romance?-> Yes, but it will take a while for it to appear. By my estimates, it will appear once we have crossed the 100 chapter mark.Q: Will the game world and real world mix?-> I am not sure about this just yet. However, the game world will have certain influences over the real world. I'll let you read so that you can find out more about that.Q: Will the Main Character evolve into a human?-> Yes, the main character will be able to evolve into a human in the future. However, it will take a long time and will be a long-term goal of Kai (the MC).I think that should cover most of the common questions. If you any other questions, just leave them below.I hope you enjoy reading this new story of mine!
This is my first book on romance, but I'm definitely doing my best to improve regularly, especially in grammar. Hope you enjoy reading it. ?
