There is one scene in these chapters that I could watch as a movie and just lose my mind over. You know the one. Cui Tang pushes open the hospital room door, and there's Gu Anyun — in a hospital gown, perched on Jin Chenyue's lap, face buried in his neck, whimpering about a nightmare. And Jin Chenyue, arms raised in the air like a man who has no idea what to do with himself. And the three elders at the doorway, collectively gasping. The author doesn't even need to describe much here. The image is so vivid on its own. A VIP ward on the 18th floor, the door slightly ajar, the mother about to call out 'Tang...' and then stopping dead. It's such a perfect visual — like a frame from a drama where everything has shifted and no one knows how to process it yet. And then the scene transitions to the family reception area, where the mood drops from chaotic comedy to something heavier. Jin Chenyue explaining the medical condition to the elders, the silence after the doctor leaves, Cui Tang rubbing her temples. The author uses these quieter moments really well — the hospital setting becomes a pressure cooker where three years of unresolved tension finally have room to breathe. The limousine Rolls-Royce pulling up, the hurried footsteps, the private reception room — every detail places us in this wealthy, complicated world where a car accident isn't just a medical event, it's a family crisis that rearranges everyone's positions. The contrast between the loud, almost slapstick doorway scene and the somber discussion that follows is masterful. One moment everyone's reacting, the next moment they're sitting in silence processing what this means.
There's this one moment that genuinely made me emotional and I'm not even going to pretend it wasn't. Jiang Xiu looking at Wu Zhan, who's leaning against her knee like he's afraid she'll disappear, and she says 'From now on, Mother won't be afraid anymore.' That's it. That's the whole thesis of her character arc right there. She spent ten years being the silent, yielding wife, filling the household's gaps with her dowry, swallowing every insult, and now? Now she's done. But what I love is that her transformation isn't just about power or revenge—it's about her children. Wu Che offering that saliva-stained wooden block to Fu Fu like it's a treasure, Fu Fu internally吐槽ing 'Not that much, actually' but still feeling warmth because her brother thinks she likes it... these tiny domestic moments are what ground the whole story. Jiang Xiu's strength isn't just in her scheming, it's in the fact that she's doing all of this for them. The line 'It was the first time in so many years that she had laughed so lightly and freely by her child's side' hit me like a truck. This isn't just a revenge novel, it's a story about a woman finally learning that she deserves to be happy.
"I've only read a few chapters, and I'm already a fan! This story has so much potential, and I can't wait to see where it goes.
GOOD NOVEL SHEER UP FELLOW DAOIST!!!
The thing I like is how mysterious the writer makes Chris look
Hello great author, I'm a huge fan of your work! Your book left a lasting impression on me, and I believe it has the potential to reach even more readers. I'd be honored to share some thoughts on how to enhance its impact and visibility. Would you be open to hearing my thoughts?
It has great potential and everything in-between
Overall the story is good while some times the characters are too emotional but the Mc is strangely relatable to me.The his brother is to sneaky and always trying to get clues.
I'm liking the character build up so far. ??
Story is getting good every single day I just love everything about the plot.???????????????????????????????.love it love ??????????????????????????????????This is so good that it has me keeping my legs close but this awesome keep up the good work.!!!!!!!!so sad!!!!??????
Author here, first 40-50 chapters are at a slower pace. But the story picks up quite rapidly soon after. I should also apologise for the inconsistent writing quality in the beginning but this does get better quickly and should offer a good reading experience overall. Magic Vs Cultivation has been re written a few times, but I'm finally on the right path. Thanks to everyone who reads, views or feels utterly appalled by the things within this book. Every bit of critique or praise is welcome. oh and less I forget...Welcome to the Beyond Universe.
Can’t wait for more. Hope the writer can update daily.. ?
