I'm going to be honest with you—dialogue is where most novels fail me, but this author has nailed distinct voices for almost everyone. Let me just lay out a few lines and you'll see what I mean. Grandma Pei: "Hechuan, a man must stand tall. Don't you know Minmin's feelings? She's waited for years. How could you let her down?" — This is authority, tradition, moral pressure all in one breath. You can hear an older Chinese grandmother who measures a man's worth by how he treats the woman who waited for him. Jiang Ya (private mode): "She's just some wild woman. Is this all she can do?" — Completely different register. Sharp, dismissive, calculating. Same character, different voice depending on who's listening. Yuanbao: "I don't want your poop! You're filthy! I want my snacks!" — A six-year-old's priorities are absolutely captured here. The outrage, the negotiation, the sheer childish logic. Pei Hechuan: "I am Yuanbao's dad. But I'm a soldier, serving the country, so I haven't been able to stay with him." — This is the most carefully crafted line in the whole passage. He's not confessing love to his son. He's offering a public identity, a justification, a shield. The military language is deliberate—he speaks in duty, not emotion. And Xu Mingjuan's response to her son's anger: "We still have to survive." Four words that carry a lifetime of compromise. The dialogue here isn't just conversation—it's character revelation in real time.
"Mother, I'm afraid you've forgotten there's another son sitting in this hall." That line. That SINGLE LINE from Yinzhen's internal monologue and I was absolutely wrecked. Like, here's this guy who goes out of his way to visit his mother, tries to make conversation, tries to connect, and she treats him like furniture. Then her favorite child runs in and suddenly she's all warmth and honey, and Yinzhen is just sitting there gripping his teacup so hard he might crush it. The image of him watching this mother-son moment with this mix of pain and resentment and forced composure—it's devastating. And the worst part? He can't even show it. He has to sit there and pretend he's fine while his own mother acts like he doesn't exist. Then Yinti is making faces at him, which is kind of funny but also just adds insult to injury—his younger brother can't even pretend to respect him. I love the contrast with Li Wanran and Yinzhen's scenes though. When he shows up and sees her looking 'unhappy,' his first instinct is concern. He wants to know who wronged her, he's ready to 'avenge' her. It's this protective, almost tender energy that he literally cannot show his own mother. And then she plays along with this little act of pouting about him not visiting, and he just... melts. He finds it endearing. He laughs. He coaxes her until she smiles. The chemistry between them is so different from the coldness he experiences with Consort De, and I think that's the point. She sees him. She notices him. And it's killing me a little because I can tell this is going to complicate everything.

the story development is dope but author should be dropping chapters everyday.it's been long since he last updated
The book was excellent with the MC having the best orgin story I've ever seen. The characters and plot are superb and the tribal culture makes for a fasinating read. Overall, the best book I've read in a long time. Please write more chapters.
Good story on reincarnation character.if you want a novel where mc does everything he want then this novel best for you guys
Story is good as i read so far but I don't like the mc suffer more than his brothers, so I want in ongoing chapter that he at least pays back what his brothers did by broking their limbs one by one and also move the story fast, because story progress is very slow
its shit.....why is he so emotional towards a family who tortured him and also dont make him full forgiving towards that family just because they changed sudde nly out of nowhere. why is he so emotional when he speaks to the sword or even when he speaks to that elven prince
Very good story. Good grammar. It's different than the run of the mill story. On chapter 71 and is worth the read.
The novel is fast paced and nicely written. The premise and the world building is unique and let' see in what direction the story moves. Has a lot of potential and I recommend everyone to try it
