Okay so this whole bet setup is actually really clever. Tao Nanfeng just goes and stakes her future on building a brick house in thirty days, and Huang Xingwu—this Weasel character—is so confident they'll fail that he agrees. But then the real plot twist hits when they actually start digging and find out the ground is half rock. I mean, that's when you know the author's gonna make things difficult for the protagonists. And then Tao Nanfeng reveals her secret strength! Three strikes and this boulder just shatters. The pacing here is perfect—first the bet, then the obstacle, then the reveal. It's like the author's saying 'yeah, I know you think this is gonna be hard, but watch this.' The sabotage scene at the end with the bricks getting destroyed is classic tension-building too. You're left thinking 'what happens now?' which is exactly what keeps you reading. The plot structure here follows this nice arc of setup-complication-reveal-escalation. I especially loved how the author didn't just make Tao Nanfeng strong—she had this whole backstory about the zombie bite that gave her powers. That's a nice touch that makes the strength feel earned rather than just handed to her. The brick-making subplot with Little Bean Hu is also well-woven in. It shows the team working together, which makes the sabotage feel even more personal when it happens. Overall, the plot moves at a great pace and keeps you engaged with both the construction challenge and the interpersonal conflicts.
Okay so I need to talk about this one moment because I literally squealed out loud. When Prince Jin is tickling Yu Zhu's waist and she's all flustered saying "I was wrong, Your Highness!" — this is NOT the cold, icy prince I expected from the earlier chapters. He's literally playing with her like a couple of teenagers. And then later when he's nuzzling her cheek and she has those deer-like eyes? I'm dead. The author really said "let's give the stoic male lead a soft side for once" and I am HERE for it. But what really got me was the morning-after scene. Prince Jin waking up first, his hands wandering over her chest, pinching her nose because she won't get up. That's not just lust, that's... comfort? Affection? He's already so used to having her there. And Yu Zhu, who was so timid and nervous on her first night, now she's the one initiating — tracing his abs, teasing him. The power dynamic has completely flipped and it's so satisfying to watch. The red marks everywhere, the sweat, the fact that they lasted a full hour — the author doesn't shy away from the physicality but what's interesting is how the intimacy keeps deepening. It's not just sex, it's becoming something more. Lan Xi even thinks about how wonderful it would be if Yu Zhu gets pregnant, just to secure her position. That's the underlying anxiety though, isn't it? Every sweet moment is shadowed by the fact that this favor could vanish like smoke. "His Highness truly dotes on you, miss." — Lan Xi saying this with gritted teeth, half-jealous, half-happy for her mistress. The servant's perspective adds this layer of bittersweetness. They're all praying for something stable, something lasting. And Yu Zhu looking in the mirror, seeing this unfamiliar allure in her own eyes, wondering if she's still the same girl... that moment hit me like a truck. She's changing, and she knows it, and it's both beautiful and terrifying.

This Shameless Author is back!!! Try reading this one! I'm sure you'll absolutely love this. If you want a villain story progression, you will like this one. This is inspired by cultivation novels, like ergen's outside of time and more. Just a heads up, don't expect a quick strong main character, as he also struggles from the cruel world, which eventually leads him to be a villain.
The characters are alive. That's the only thing I can say in this book aside from a complex story that was written well.There are some sudden shifts in perspectives but it does not bother the reader at all. It's an innocent mistake from a newbie author. Keep it up author, you can do it!I feel like Aidan has a reason why he's bullying his twin brother, Lucian. The story is so intriguing and engaging that I forgot this is a work of fiction. I'll be waiting for the next updates.
5/5 stars no drama ✨ So firstly congratulations on starting a new seventh book author San!!! i internally screamed when i was notified huhuhu! so now for actual lengthy review the writing quality is topnotch as always. i like the flow of chapters which are somewhat refreshing and funny while still witty and a hint of tension. OFFICIALLY LOVE OUR MANBUN HUBBY. They're soo cute and we can already see the dynamics and can't wait for more! Over I Like how progressive our female lead is. She has endured so much and can't wait for her to gobsmack her parents. I'll probably leave another review once I'm more into the story but for now, one of the best things that happened in 2025.

So far, I’m currently at the start of chapter 11 but before I read, I’m happy with how the story is progressing, the characters, and how the author gives details that puts your mind into the story. There are some repeating wording within the first few chapters, but other than that, I’m excited for more!! This has so much potiential!
story was going fine and was enjoying him building his own town but then the fiancé is introduced, and it felt like the whole story was ruined. everyone finds her perfect and it instantly becomes forced and unbearable quickly.why im dropping.1st his fiance is also a reincarnated.2nd he is already what feels like the peak of ability.3rd he is 10 years old and he is introducing cars trains, electricity and more to the world in what i believe has only been less than a year.4th everyone instantly becomes dumb around the mc and none find anything odd when he pulls the impossible out his ahh.5th similar to reason 3 everything feels super rushed and forced plot, romance, dialogue. ... maybe come back to check out future chapters if anything changes in a year but doubt it.
