Okay so this chapter is wild. Tao Nanfeng just shows up and within like an hour she's shattering rocks and snapping trees with her bare hands?? And the way the author handles this reveal is actually pretty clever. First it's subtle—she touches the rock and BOOM, it splits. Then the tree. Then she accidentally kicks a thousand-pound boulder off a cliff. Each escalation is bigger than the last, and the workers are losing their minds trying to figure out how this delicate-looking girl did it. But here's the thing that really got me—the plot doesn't stop at the cool power reveal. It immediately pivots to the real conflict: the work points dispute. Luo Xuan is like, 'Women only get seven points, not ten.' And Xiao Aiyun just LOSES IT. That's the actual story here, not the super strength. The power is just... there. It's Tao Nanfeng's ticket into this world, but the real drama is about dignity, fairness, and whether she'll be treated as a person or just another burden. Also, that scene where Xiang Bei gives her his mother's lunch? That's a plot move, not just kindness. He's investing in her. The story is building something.
This story is about so much more than a girl getting a magic system and making TV shows. Let me unpack what's really going on here. The central theme is authenticity versus performance—in every sense of the word. Li Yinan is a walking symbol of inauthenticity: a comedy blogger who pretended to be a visual idol, an actor who can't convey emotion but insists on using his own voice, a celebrity whose fans are so devoted they'll assault strangers on his behalf. His entire existence is a performance without substance. Ying Shi, by contrast, is authentic to her core. She makes drama reviews 'out of pure passion,' she doesn't take money to trash people unfairly, and when she's attacked, she fights back with evidence and logic rather than drama. The lotus root incident is symbolic on multiple levels. In Chinese internet culture, the lotus root (藕) sounds like 'vomit' (呕)—it's an expression of disgust. But the lotus root itself grows in mud yet produces something clean and edible. That's basically Ying Shi's arc: she's been literally stabbed (mud), but she's emerging clean and ready to create something good. The system itself is a fascinating symbolic element. It represents the idea that the entertainment industry needs external intervention to fix itself—from the inside, but with powers that transcend normal industry rules. It's almost like a deus ex machina, but the story is self-aware enough about that to make it part of the theme. The system legalizes everything, which is a commentary on how the real industry operates: money and connections can make anything legitimate. Ying Shi's orphan background adds another layer—she has no family to fall back on, no safety net, which makes her success feel earned rather than privileged. The story is asking: what happens when someone who actually cares about the craft gets the power to change an industry that only cares about profit? That's a question worth exploring across a whole novel.
Okay, I need to talk about Qin Zelin because this man is a walking contradiction and I am HERE for it. On one hand, he is the most controlled, disciplined person in this entire story. He has rules, he has routines, he probably alphabetizes his spices. And then Cen Miao walks into his life and everything goes absolutely chaotic. The scene where Qin Zelin tries to grab the scalding meat out of Cen Miao's mouth? That is not the behavior of a man who cares about cleanliness. That is the behavior of a man whose entire priority system has been completely rewritten by love. He doesn't even think about it—he just acts. And then later, when Cen Miao tugs his sleeve and says "Husband, please, please, don't take me home," Qin Zelin immediately caves. "Fine, not going home." Bro. You had a whole speech prepared about taking him home and you abandoned it in one second. This man is completely and utterly defeated by a curly-haired little zombie in a bear coat and I love it. But what really gets me is how Qin Zelin teaches Cen Miao. The whole "don't call someone older than you brother, those are bad people trying to trick you" lesson? That is not just advice, that is genuine care wrapped in sternness. He is trying to protect this person who has no understanding of human social traps. And Cen Miao actually internalizes it—then immediately weaponizes it against Meng Yu when she asks him to call her "brother." The kid is learning, folks. He's absorbing these lessons and applying them in real time. That growth arc is so subtle but so present.
Let's talk about the most confused man in this entire story. The guy sees Su Yin kick some poor bastard in a dark alley, has a DREAM about her fluffy ears, wakes up calling himself a pervert, then immediately goes to his father asking if he already set her up with his SECOND BROTHER because apparently that's his coping mechanism now. "Did you actually do it?" — bro, you just admitted you were considering shipping your love interest to your sibling like she's a piece of furniture. The king was like 'I actually think SHE'S the one for you' and Lu Xingcun's response is to panic and check if his dad already gave her to his research-nerd brother. This man is so down bad he's orbiting a different planet. And Su Yin? She has NO IDEA. She's over there like 'does 70 favorability mean I can get the Main God fragment?' while he's having a full existential crisis. The scene where he touches her ears and then flees without dinner is peak 'I am not ready for this level of intimacy.' Meanwhile the system is just sitting there like 'Favorability: 80' and Su Yin's like '...where's my reward?' The dynamic is so deliciously mismatched. He's writing love letters in his head and she's treating him like a quest NPC.
Haven't read it yet but this level of blurb creativity deserves 5 stars ?
Every chapter keeps me hooked! I can't wait to see Ben’s rise from the darkness.
This book is amazing! I love the main character. It's so refreshing to find a book that's truly worth reading. I can't wait for the next chapters

Hello great author, I'm a huge fan of your work! Your book left a lasting impression on me, and I believe it has the potential to reach even more readers. I'd be honored to share some thoughts on how to enhance its impact and visibility. Would you be open to hearing my thoughts?
Finally another good Horror novel. This book is spooky. and the author didn't drag the story out. Each arc is short, filled with interesting characters that actually show up again instead of disappear lol.My favorite one so far is Tiger.
Based on the three chapters I've translated, I can provide some insights into the novel's qualities: 1. World-building: The author has created a rich and complex world with its own cultivation system, societal structures, and magical elements. The Great Celestial World, with its Nine Provinces and various sects and families, seems well-developed and intriguing.2. Character development: The main character, He Heng, is introduced as a reincarnated individual with memories from a previous life. This adds depth to his character and provides an interesting perspective on the new world he inhabits.3. Plot: The story quickly introduces conflict and mystery. The murder of a prominent figure, the pursuit of a hidden treasure, and He Heng's kidnapping all serve to create tension and drive the narrative forward.4. Cultivation system: The novel presents a detailed cultivation system with various realms and techniques, which is typical of the xianxia genre but seems to have some unique elements.5. Writing style: The author balances action, dialogue, and internal monologue effectively. The pacing is good, with a mix of intense scenes and moments of exposition.6. Themes: The novel touches on themes of power, longevity, and the consequences of one's actions, which are common in the genre but handled well here.7. Originality: While it incorporates many tropes common to xianxia novels, the He family's unique cultivation technique that trades combat power for longevity is an interesting twist.
if anyone is interested in this novel I will continue or else I'm dropping.. please tell the review honestly
