The narrative has an intriguing main character (MC) and a distinctive premise, complemented by well-crafted world-building. However, the story is marred by a consistently poor and repetitive non-consensual dynamic between the MC and love interest (ML). Unfortunately, I find the ML unredeemable due to this aspect. Despite skipping the non-consensual scenes, I remain engaged because of the compelling plot involving the Hwa people.
"It's truly a captivating novel. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the plot unfold, particularly the reality-based arc. Unfortunately, I recently learned that the original author passed away from a heart attack before completing it! Rest in peace, dear author. If you're intrigued by clever and intelligent female leads who aren't foolish, I highly recommend giving this a read."
The story isn't entirely terrible; it lacks originality, but the plot manages to hold interest, albeit marginally. However, that's pretty much its saving grace. Focusing on betrayal and revenge, the narrative fails to evoke strong emotions. Despite reading only the beginning, I didn't encounter any standout moments in terms of tone or atmosphere. The writing is superficial, preventing readers from experiencing the depth of feelings one would expect.
Characters in the story lack depth, with inconsistencies in the development of significant figures. The protagonist's supposed "madness" feels forced and unnatural. Supporting characters are one-dimensional, which actually prevents their personalities from feeling contrived or uncomfortable. Overall, the storytelling comes across as simplistic, lacking profound emotions or complex characters. It might appeal more to a younger, angsty demographic.
I don't usually write reviews, but this story truly deserves more attention; it's exceptional. The plot revolves around a young boy whose body was sold by his parents for the family's well-being, leading to his mind being separated from his physical form. The buyer uses the boy's body for a youthful appearance, while his consciousness remains trapped in a virtual game set in an apocalyptic world.
At first, I found the excessive descriptions and monologues dull, but I regret giving up on it earlier. The storytelling is fantastic, with a balanced mix of thrilling action and a gripping narrative. The fight scenes are exhilarating, and the plot progression is engaging. Moreover, the translation is seamless and top-notch.
Kudos to the translators, who have maintained the same level of excellence they showcased in "Second Life Ranker." Although not typically drawn to adventure stories, I must commend their excellent taste in novels.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this book. It's an enjoyable read that offers more than meets the eye. Happy reading! ❤️
So far, everything's been great. I appreciate how the main character skillfully manipulates all their targets. This is definitely a fast-paced Transmigration novel that appeals to me. I would like to express my gratitude to Novice translator for taking on this project, as it allows us enthusiasts of Chinese literature to enjoy reading it.
Ive stacked about 70 chapters and waiting till chapter 390 cuz i think thats where the first part of the novel ends
Genuinely not worth the read unless you got nothing else to read
Pretty sure I did right around here tbh.
I’ve read many of these type of stories so I can safely say that the reason they can’t is because of the fate of a “villain”. No matter what they do, they will be perceived and treated as a villain when involved with the mc. Any mistake could lead to their downfall so actually the safest method really is to just be against the mc
This novel is very good. I like it. It's a horror novel that's fun to read. And like to have comedy inserted. I want to know how will the protagonist and Mr. Ek come to like each other?. Hurry up and continue to update. In conclusion, I like it ????❤❤❤ Thank you ?? for bringing this novel.
Man I read all the other cf books, but hands down this has the slowest beginning of all of his books combined, even I had trouble getting over the first 100 chapters.
I'm going to pick this one back up here. In case you are wondering if you should read this one. It is interesting enough to make you want to read more after each chapter, but there are points where the side characters and villains are more interesting than the MC, and moments where you may wonder why people who are supposed to be so smart keep doing dumb things.
