Okay so this whole blind date setup is clearly not what it seems. Tao Chuxia drags her sister to this fancy restaurant called Star-Picking Pavilion, which turns out to belong to the Meng family—Meng Chu's first business venture. But here's the thing, Tao Wanxing doesn't even know this. She just shows up thinking it's a normal dinner and gets hit with Mrs. Cheng and her son Zhou Qi. The plot twist I didn't expect was Zhou Qi's actual motivation. On the surface he's this polite, well-mannered guy who serves Tao Wanxing food and offers to drive her home. But then you see him watching her walk away with that wicked grin, and suddenly everything clicks. He wasn't there for the blind date at all—he was there for HER. And Meng Chu? He walks in mid-conversation, catches them, and immediately goes into territorial mode. The tension when he asks 'Which Zhou family are you from?' with that dismissive tone—chef's kiss. The plot is weaving these threads together: the arranged marriage setup, the hidden agenda, the complicated relationship between Tao Wanxing and Meng Chu that's clearly not just sibling-like. And that ending where he says he's going back to Cloud Province and will sign the divorce papers? That's a massive plot development. She thinks she's getting what she wants, but something tells me this isn't over.
The opening of this section is brutal. Qiao Shilian dreaming that she's still a wandering spirit, 'thousands condemning and slandering her,' completely isolated — it's not just a nightmare, it's her deepest fear made manifest. The author describes her waking up drenched in cold sweat, reaching toward the lantern light 'repeatedly confirming whether she was human or ghost.' That image of her hand casting a shadow over her eyes, trying to prove she exists... chills. Actual chills. Then the tone pivots so sharply. She finds the dart with the message, and suddenly we're in this quiet, intimate moment — moonlight, flickering candlelight, the sharp handwriting. The contrast between the claustrophobic nightmare and the expansive night sky is deliberate. Later, at Mount Jiunu, the description shifts again: 'deep, ink-like shades of green,' cicadas singing, misty peaks and drifting clouds. The forest hunt setting feels alive — it's not just a backdrop, it's a character in itself. The imperial procession, the nobility, the Qiao family standing out 'little among them' — you can feel the scale of this world. And then Qiao Shilian, alone in her carriage with the partially drawn curtain filtering 'intermittent streams of daylight,' finally getting a moment of peace after days of sleepless anxiety. The author uses light and shadow so effectively throughout this section — candlelight, moonlight, filtered daylight — it creates this constant sense of things being half-revealed, half-hidden, which perfectly mirrors the plot.
it's good but the story is advancing too fast..it should be slow and fast at a time in my opinion.
starts with an exciting fight scene. The nickname "The 14th Demon of Rebellion" is a great touch. I like how greatly you have described the fight. For now, it's a 3-star rating because it has just started but it has so much potential.
I will read more chapters first, but from the prologue it is quite interesting according to the genre that I like. I look forward to the next chapter ?
love it , pls update it , i liked his rejection is , make it like the more he intergrates with rejection , fuses it into him , they become one , all 3 , him ,his sword and rejection ,, he becomes more badass/inhumane/cruel/ruthless/stronger
Story is good so far, writing is ok with the main issue being errors. There are chapters that are nearly copy paste of the previous chapter (not too many and not 100% copy paste), the names get kinda jumbled up (people using other characters names or even just names that were pre-translation or whatever) some chapters are out of sequence and happen just before / in the middle of the previous chapter, and for some reason chapter 36 isn’t even this novel, it’s some random one.
Hello, Author here. I had nothing better to do so i just combined my imagination into this. It's my first time writing and I'll try my best to make it as good as I can. (Oh and I gave my novel 5.0 rating)
Futa on male ?? what the fuck is that shit?
I love it this is treasure ??????????????
I am giving this book a review to inform fans on how good it is. It has the sense of character fleshing out.
Unique main character where he is a beast that gets summoned by summoners to do tasks for them. A lot of potential and I like the fact that the mc is a hyena, its different and cool. I hope the story continues for a while so that I can enjoy it as much as possible.
