Then she adds, deadpan: "What? Does Xinda Loan doubt my financial strength?" The commanding aura, honed from years at the helm of a major corporation, instantly intimidated the reviewer. I loved this. The author writes her dialogue with such sharpness—every line has weight, every sentence is calculated. She doesn't waste words. Even her internal monologue is razor-focused. And the contrast with her family's dialogue? Zhao Shiyu's shrill, venomous voice—"You're nothing but an old woman obsessed with making money!"—vs. Su Jinxiu's controlled, precise speech. The author uses dialogue to show us exactly who these people are. The daughter screams. The husband wipes his glasses and smiles coldly. Su Jinxiu says almost nothing until she's ready to strike. Her whispered lines to herself at the end of Chapter 2 are chilling in the best way: "Zhao Mingyuan... Liu Wanqing... Just wait. I'm coming for all of you." The author doesn't need dramatic exclamation points here. Three sentences. Done.
