"Respect is given by others, but dignity is lost by oneself. They threw away their own dignity, yet Mother-in-law expects your daughter-in-law to squat or even kneel to help them pick it up? That's not happening!" I am literally screaming. This woman does not just speak—she DISMANTLES people with sentences. What I love most about Ruan Xingci's dialogue is how it shifts tones so effortlessly. One moment she's being almost coaxing and sweet with Ying Mei—"Oh, Mother-in-law, I've only just arrived, so there are surely some rules I'm not used to"—and the next she's absolutely eviscerating her with logic so sharp it's like watching a scalpel work. The emotional whiplash is intentional too. Nanny Sun and Ying Mei literally can't predict what tone she'll use next, which keeps them completely off-balance. And the Nanny Sun confrontation? "Since you are permitted to be by Mother-in-law's side and even have the audacity to order me to kneel, you must be her confidante. Do you really not know that Mother-in-law's behavior only makes my husband's situation more difficult?" She turns the subordinate into the weapon against the master without even raising her voice. The dialogue also does something really clever with power dynamics. Every time someone tries to assert authority over Ruan Xingci—Nanny Sun telling her to kneel, Ying Mei citing family harmony—she doesn't just refuse. She reframes the entire conversation so that THEIR logic becomes the thing that exposes THEIR weakness. That's not just sharp talking. That's strategic communication. Also can we talk about how she handles Bailu? The maid is clearly nervous the whole time, and Ruan Xingci's calm, almost cheerful demeanor in the face of all this hostility creates this really interesting contrast. Her voice is consistent—confident, unapologetic, occasionally playful—but it's never one-note. She knows exactly when to be soft and when to go nuclear.
There's a reason this story keeps putting its characters in enclosed, trapped spaces. The elevator. The storage room from Wen Yunsheng's childhood. The villa. The car. These aren't accidental settings—they're SYMBOLS for the emotional state of these two people. They're trapped. Trapped by four years of misunderstanding, by family obligations, by pride, by fear. The elevator incident mirrors her childhood trauma in that storage room where she was forgotten, abandoned, alone in the dark. And every time she's trapped, the first person she reaches for is Qin Yanchuan. He's her safe place and her wound simultaneously. The neck bruises—marks of someone gripping too hard—are a physical manifestation of the emotional grip this situation has on both of them. Qin Jiawei's attempt to trap her in the elevator is literally an attempt to isolate her, to remove her from the narrative, to make her disappear. But she doesn't disappear. She's found. She's carried. She's remembered. And the honey water scene—sweetness offered from his hand, trust restored through the simplest act of feeding someone—this is about vulnerability as intimacy. The author keeps returning to the question: what happens when the people who know you best are the same people who can hurt you most? The answer, apparently, is that they stay. Even when you push them away. Even when you say thank you like a stranger. Even when the elevator doors finally open, they're still there.
Better start reading early before the book blows up cause this is a really good book. you can see from the starting that the author is new but as we read one it get all the more better as a book. Great work author
As a man of culture I decree this sh@t hot ? ..................................,.,.................................................................
Well!I am reviewing my own book. And I'm not gonna go on and on about how good or marvelous it is.I only have two words for any readers out there: READ IT.Thank you.^=^/
I have read till chapter 11 and I Don't Have Any Complain With The Story, The Plot Progression Is Smooth, As Per Now Not much of a character development but, he haven't gonna out of his mansion and interact with other characters so, I wouldn't say much on it but, I really hope author will give us more information as story unfolds
This novel is very unique in its premise and to be honest the synopsis attracted me as it gave true fantasy vibes like got or lotr. I highly recommend it to everyone to try it.
I like the writing. It's a good blend of magic and martial arts. The plot line is good too. I love reading stories like this so much In simple words, I like this author’s book
This is honestly great even if it has 8 episodes the story development is pretty and for your first time making a web novel you pretty valid
This novel, not biased, have the potential to be one of the best novels on this app. I'm not even kidding, it has the potential to be at least in top 10, if not top 5. Okay, let start with what makes this good. First, the writing quality is peak. You will see little to none grammatical errors, or spelling errors, for that matter. So you don't have to bang your head in order for you to understand what the hell the writing means. The description is very good; it allows your brain to vividly imagine what's going on without you putting much effort to it.Story development? Honestly, I would argue it is one of the best aspects of this book. I won't spoil it for you but the foreshadowing is absolutely fire ?. There won't be a lot of info dumps at early chapters and the development is not fast nor slow, just perfect. There is also comedy and humour to lighten the tone so you won't get bored. Character design. The characters are almost life like and you won't see any characters acting bizarre like in your usual cultivation novel. There maybe some cringe stuff to them, but you will definitely relate to most of the characters and intimately understand them, specially the MC.The world background. To be frank, the novel is in its early stages, and if you are familiar with the author other works, then you can at least depend on him that much ?. So my advice is to read it and see for yourself. Now there are some minor issues as well. But they are nothing problematic. However, one issue I'd like to push to the author is that, will this be a harem novel or not? for me personally, I'd like to be single FMC and most of the readers, from my experience, will also like to agree as well. The reason behind it is that, it is not a smut novel is shgs, this novel is fantasy/action/romance book. But it ultimately is about beast, and I think making it a harem will beat that purpose. On the other hand though, please do continue to write some lemon scenes. I think this much will appease the harem route readers. But yeah, this is it. P.S. if you like novels about dragons, you're in for a ride (u2060◠u2060‿u2060◕u2060).P.S.(2) Author, this might be selfish of me but please increase the chapter release rate ??
everything is perfect, the story is just amazing , good work
Great Story! The main character is just relateable with the way she reacts, and the writing style just really makes me feel like I'm there with her
