Askath is the most revered war-hero in Ixal. Words of his accolades and tales have elevated his infamy to the point the people of Ixal see him as a demi-god in the flesh. In Ixal, nobility and bloodlines are prestigious but achievements are supreme. So despite his prosaic origins, Askath could indeed one day rule Ixal and it's people.
However as times of peace encroach, his values and pride begin to clash with the Kingdom. As doubts arise, and his opponents do all they can to intervene in the succesion, he must abandon his ways of violence.

Aiming for this book to be more race for power (the crown) rather than power scaling mc, unsure how this will go down with the slopification trends but we will see. :)
