I've been turning over some of the imagery in this batch, and there's a lot more going on beneath the surface than a simple 'girl builds business and sends brother to school' story. The most obvious symbol is the home itself. After fleeing the old Chen household—where they were treated as disposable—Zhiwei builds a new house. Not just any house: three main rooms facing south, solid and spacious, with a workshop beside it. The south-facing orientation is significant. In Chinese culture, south-facing homes are associated with warmth, prosperity, and good fortune. She's not just building shelter; she's building a future that faces the light. Then there's the workshop. It has wide windows for good lighting, brick flooring for easy cleaning, and clearly designated areas for soaking, grinding, braising, and drying. This is a space designed for transformation—beans becoming something entirely different through patience and process. It's a metaphor for Zhiwei herself: taking what was given (soybeans, a difficult past, limited resources) and transforming it into something valuable. The food imagery throughout is also loaded. The New Year feast—braised pork head meat symbolizing good fortune, the whole red carp wishing abundance every year, the golden chicken soup. These aren't just meals; they're rituals of celebration and hope. When she later serves her vegetarian chicken and dried bean products to the villagers, she's sharing the fruits of her transformation. Food as community, food as proof of survival. And the school bag she sews by hand? That's perhaps the most intimate symbol. She makes his spring outfit, washes and presses it, sews the bag herself. Every stitch is an act of love and investment. Education in this context isn't just about learning characters—it's about breaking the cycle. Zhiyi will read and write, and that means he'll never be trapped the way his sister was. The firecrackers on New Year's Eve serve as another symbol—scaring away bad luck, welcoming the new. The red confetti outside their door, Zhiyi's flushed face, the smell of gunpowder in the cold air. It's a moment of pure, unguarded joy, and it's earned through everything that came before.
Okay so let me just say this—the Cheng couple subplot is genuinely one of the most satisfying mini-arcs in this entire section. You've got Old Master Cheng, this picky old man who can't even eat chives without feeling nauseous, and then BAM, he eats a three-delicacy bun and his whole relationship with food is rewritten. That's not just a cute scene, that's actual plot machinery. The author uses this to do two things at once: establish that Jiang Mo's cooking has some almost magical quality (the time-travel golden touch theory is real), and simultaneously set up the recipe-selling angle that could become a real conflict later. But here's where it gets interesting—the twist isn't that the recipe is hard to make. It's that Madam Cheng, who claims she wants to learn it for family use, literally vomits when she tries her own version. Old Master Cheng's reaction of 'blegh' is comedic gold, but it also raises a question: is the secret ingredient actually skill, or is it something about Jiang Mo herself? The author is carefully planting the idea that this isn't just a cooking story. When Madam Cheng says 'Surely she wouldn't poison him?' and then immediately fails, it's almost like the universe is saying the magic can't be replicated. That's a plot thread I'm definitely watching. Then Shen Zhengze walks in and the whole narrative gravity shifts. Han You's line 'To eat, of course' is funny on the surface, but it also tells us something important: the Lord has been searching for Jiang Mo specifically. This isn't a random customer visit. The plot is layering stakes here—food business success on one level, political/personal danger on another. And the recruitment notice she puts outside? That's foreshadowing. She's planning to grow, and that growth will collide with whatever Shen Zhengze wants from her.
I always love detective stories. I started reading novel by reading Hardy Boys and 3 Detective Series during my school days! Brought back my memories! Hope to read more! Gonna have fun reading!
Wireless is the kind of book that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. Luna is bold, messy, and impossible not to love, while Kai and Elias bring two completely different vibes of tension into her life. The banter is sharp, the chemistry is off the charts, and the drama keeps things exciting. It’s steamy, chaotic, and full of characters who feel real in all their flaws.
The transimigration is well timed. Zan seems to be a an Intriguing character, and this mysterious man, shows an unseen development that will unfold later. This story is good ?
So far the synopsis and first two chapters are okay. Character development too. Also the narrative technique Is lit...would love to read more
The book's storyline is a bit complicated, chapter 1 was very long. However, the opening scene was increasingly eye-catching. Even with the long chapter, it still pushes me to read through it. Try to improve the grammar though, there are a few minor errors and typos.

Seriously I don't like the concept at all. It's just mind control and there is no fun if you get everything easily. People will like it as long as they are horney. LoL
The novel is great and has intresting characters and setting. It's too early to say anything but there is a lot of potential in this novel...Looking forward to next chapter....
