I need to talk about Pei Ji because THIS MAN. He coughed up blood for Luo Fu and STILL carries the sword tassel she gave him. That single detail — "rubbing the pale blue sword tassel in his hand" — says more than a thousand pages of internal monologue ever could. The author doesn't tell us he loves her, they SHOW us through his hands. And then Shen Zhirou watching him, thinking "Her heart ached, but more than that—she felt joy" — UGH. This woman is so layered. She's not just a villain, she's someone who's waited so long and finally sees her chance, even if it means destroying her rival. And Luo Zhen! Oh my god, Luo Zhen is fascinating in the worst way. She dreams about Luo Fu being cold and distant with Pei Ji's cousin, and her first thought isn't guilt or sadness — it's "So what if her once-devoted husband had another woman by his side? She couldn't handle that?" Then she thinks about the palace being "a thousand times more treacherous" and basically wishes death on her sister. This is a woman who has convinced herself that whatever she does is justified because the alternative is losing. The relationship dynamics between all three sisters-in-law-to-be are going to be absolutely electric. Luo Zhen marrying the man who loves another woman, Luo Fu entering a palace full of enemies, and Shen Zhirou playing the long game from the shadows. I'm already emotionally compromised.
The word "divorce" appears in the first few pages and it changes the entire temperature of the scene. Ding Yi'an asks it casually in a group chat—"planning to make it work or get a divorce?"—and Shen An sees it. Just that one word glares back at him from her phone screen. What's interesting is that this isn't actually a conflict between them. They're not fighting about divorce. The conflict is internal, existential. Shen An realizes that to his friends, to her friends, to the world, this marriage still looks like it could end. And he can't stand it. So he does something brilliant: he invites them all to the banquet. Not to argue, not to declare anything dramatically, but to publicly integrate her world into his. "I don't like it when you defend other men" isn't jealousy—it's a boundary setting. He's telling her he's not playing the role of the distant husband anymore. The stakes escalate subtly throughout these chapters. The photos being leaked could expose their relationship before they're ready. Her night shifts mean physical separation. The dog purchase is a small commitment that somehow feels enormous. And that breakfast conversation where they casually discuss hiring help for the next few decades? That's the highest stakes moment in the whole passage. They're not talking about tomorrow—they're talking about years. And neither of them is ready to say it out loud, so they talk about dumplings instead. The tension isn't in drama. It's in everything unsaid. And that's what makes it unbearable in the best way.
The pacing in these chapters is absolutely relentless and I mean that in the best possible way. Let me walk through how the author structures this whole sequence because it's genuinely masterful. We open with Xia Xing'er already in action—no slow buildup, no exposition dumps. She's sprinkling knockout powder and shaving heads from the very first paragraph. The chapter moves from residence to residence like a hurricane, and each location gets just enough detail to feel distinct without slowing things down. The Grand Tutor's place establishes the supernatural tone. The Chancellor's residence ramps up the comedy with the flying teapot and skull routine. Then she hits the shops, the treasury, and finally the palace—each stop escalating the stakes. But here's where it gets clever: right after the peak of the palace heist, the author immediately pivots to the aftermath in Qianqing Palace. The Emperor standing barefoot in his inner garments, surrounded by kneeling concubines and officials, is such a sharp tonal shift from the comedic theft sequence. It grounds the story back in political reality. The chapter ends on a cliffhanger with the Emperor ordering an investigation, which naturally propels us into the next chapter. The only moment that felt slightly rushed was the transition between the kitchen and the Imperial Hospital—those two scenes blend together a bit. But honestly, that breathless quality matches the narrative itself, which is why it works.
Looks like author redid the 2nd chapter, and to be honest. I am liking this variation more than the original. I like showing love to new writers and this seems to be pretty good so far. 1 mistake new writers on here make is going at way too fast paced and before they know it, their MC is WAY too OP and they run out of ideas creating a dead book. Keep it slow paced and you will have a good run.Looking forward to the next chapter!
Love the book, but I have a potentially suggestion for the ending (don’t worry about it if you have plans). Maybe he grows on power, and the book ends off with him entering the main reality, but immediately cuts off the moment he enters as the author (people like you) can’t actually affect the humans of Earth. Idk, thought it would be cool. (And if he does, making him bring the girls too). Either way, thanks for your time

Hello readers author here, if you guys have any suggestions for me to improve the novel please tell me so
story is quite impressive and different but some subplots are quite cliche but it is interesting to read and entertaining let's see how it develops in the future
Story is well written, and has quite a bit of future potential. Just remember this though, if you yourself, enjoy writing your stories, then that is the one thing that should matter the most more then anything else. Sometimes, it is not about any sort of money or payment, but should in fact, always be about enjoying sharing your work with your viewers and fans. And that, should always take priority, because if your fans and viewers enjoy reading your work, as well as potential future generations, then that is the one thing, that should matter more to you then anything else. For you see, people are more concerned in living in the here and now. While people me, we like to have a more, long game in mind. Now, don't take this as some sort of negative by any means, I am just saying, that if we want future generations to enjoy this world, then we have to be willing to protect what we love, in an effort to do our best to better our future.
A genuinely great novel. To all reading this reviews, just give it a try for at least 10-20 chapters to have your own opinion on this book. At the very least, even if you dont like it you wont feel like you wasted your time. Now for the rating :World building : its good, as the story developp so does the information we have on the world outside the first hive. As for detail when describing place, its in the good range being not too little but also not too specific to the point of being boring.Story : we follow the mc developping his bee empire like the title say. So far its been great, the mc actually stick to this goal which is nice. (even if thats fueled by one big incensitive lol) Character : the side character feels alive and 3D, they arent just a one time appearance or useless deadweight who cant do anything without the mc. They will make you feel things, be it joy or sadness. For the female lead and main character :The strongest point of this novel in my opinion is the female lead Ambrosia. Are you tired of female lead who are just dumb, hit the mc at every opportunity, act like children, need to be saved ever single time, and dont act like their character setting would suggest? Rejoice! Here Ambrosia actually act like a Queen bee. She make growing her hive the number one priority and actually act like it. She can be stern but caring, she actually is smart, rational and mature. She sees when the mc feels down and help him. Tldr she is just a great character overall and a breath of fresh air. As for Nectus, he is fine, maybe you will find him stupid and à bit annoying at first, but give it some chapter and he will become better. (main reason why im saying to give it at least 10-20 chapter before judging).Uploading : great consistency rn, two chapters per day.To end this review, i would like to thank the author for all the effort he put in this novel and i hope with this review i gave you at least the motivation to give this great novel a try. If you disagree with some of my take dont hesitate to tell me in the reply. Have a nice day ;)
Honestly, when I skimmed through the first six chapters, I felt like you’ve got some really nice touches, especially in the fight scenes. The way you described the dragon battle was exciting—it made me feel the tension and movement, especially when Rahit was facing the dragon head-on, and that moment when he noticed the mark on its face and the sadness in its eyes. It gave the whole scene a strange, deeper feeling. But honestly, I felt the dialogue could be a bit smoother. Like when Ash said, "Go on without me," it felt a bit cliché. You might want to add lines that feel more natural or reflect his personality better. And there were a few moments where the sequence of events felt slightly off, but that’s totally normal in early drafts. As for the world-building, I think it needs a bit more detail. What's the deal with the Kings’ Powers? Why are the dragons attacking? I got the sense that there's a big mystery behind everything, but there aren’t many clues yet. If you start adding subtle hints about the world's history or why the dragons are appearing, it’ll keep readers more hooked. Overall, the story definitely has strong potential, especially with your action scenes and the small details you include. Rahit feels relatable, especially when he hesitated to kill the dragon. And that moment when the arrow pierced the dragon? Honestly, it was an unexpected, brilliant twist. I felt like you planted a seed for a mystery that’ll unfold later. So, I think you're on a good path—you just need to smooth out the dialogue a bit and add more world-building details. And trust me, you've got something special here. ?
The book is really interesting and especially the characters and how they are written . Would recommend to readers !!!
