I like novels with vengeful mc but don't usually read fmc novels. The characters are well made, the story has a huge potential because of the uncommon idea. Scarlett is a strong character and I liked. Want to see more and I also recommend this
I keep coming back to the wedding scene and how strangely tender it is, even though neither of them would ever admit it. Two tables. Twenty people. Most of them Xia Yuan's side. No one from Ying Sitong's side because she has literally no family. And Zhang Shiting giving a 20,000 yuan red envelope like 'here, get married properly, I want my niece-in-law to feel loved.' The aunt is basically the only mother figure either of them has ever had, and she's treating this sham marriage like it's the real thing. That's what got me. Not the romance—though the romance is there, simmering under everything—but the way these two lonely people accidentally found someone who would show up for them. Even the argument about splitting the red envelope money is kind of sweet in a twisted way. She says 'I contributed my body' and he says 'you just showed up' and they're bickering like a real married couple. That's not acting. That's two people who've never had anyone care about their money, their choices, their future, suddenly having someone to bicker with about it. And then the separate bedrooms thing—Xia Yuan's scared she'll accidentally drain him dry, which is a very practical reason, but also kind of tragic. They're sharing a life but not a bed. They're building something real while maintaining the fiction that it's all just an agreement. The emotional complexity here is insane and the author doesn't even seem to realize how much she's packing into these quiet domestic moments.

The author pat his own back on this one. ?So far I have only read it to chapter 57 and I am not impress. I have a lot of patience with grammatical error and mispelling because I know that this is translated on a language that is not local to the author but my man, if you are shooting to make money on a language that is not familiar to you at least use a google to check your grammar. The errors are so blatant that it will drive you nuts! One more thing, I thought asian are good at math? WHY does the calculations on your novel so out of whack?! If you dont know how to add just make it vauge amount like aprroximately, or almost or better yet just dont add anymore. You got the nerve to grade your own work 5 star? Seriously? Fix your errors then I will definitely agree with you. Your stories carry a great potential to become something great but you need to have consistency with your grammars, character persona, and dont do math if you’re not good at it.
