Let me just lay out the stakes because this girl is playing on HARD MODE. Shen Fuxing skipped work for DAYS. In a place where the Jade Emperor literally sentences people to Celestial Prison, skipping work isn't a minor infraction — it's a death sentence waiting to happen. And she did it because her grandfather just ascended and she couldn't find him. That's the emotional core: a sixteen-year-old girl alone in a cosmic bureaucracy, trying to find family. But then she goes and confronts the Jade Emperor ALONE. No backup, no protection, just her wits and a weapon she made in a lab. The text says: 'For someone so young to face the Emperor alone, undaunted by the majesty of the Heavenly Court, showed remarkable courage.' But it wasn't just courage — it was calculation. She knew exactly what buttons to push: cost savings, extra revenue, political leverage against Spirit Mountain. And the stakes keep rising. She wins the Jade Emperor over, gets Giant Spirit God pardoned, secures a favor... and then walks back into Yunlou Palace where Nezha has literally thrown a spear at her face. The conflict isn't resolved — it's just paused. She's bought herself time to find her grandfather, but at what cost? How long can she keep dodging the Great God of the Third Altar's wrath? Every scene feels like walking a tightrope. I couldn't look away.
Lin Erhu is my favorite character now and it's because of one line: 'Sis, are you trying to kill your favorite brother?' After Xiaoman accidentally slaps him face-down into straw because she got too excited about the kang idea, he just... rolls with it. That's not just humor, that's a relationship built on trust and affection. They can take physical mishaps and turn them into jokes instead of arguments. That's rare in fiction. The dialogue throughout these chapters feels incredibly natural, especially between the siblings. There's no over-explanation, no 'as you know, Bob' exposition disguised as conversation. When Erhu says 'Sis, come in here for a moment' and then beckons her mysteriously to look at the stone slab, you immediately understand their dynamic—he's the curious one, she's the protective one, and they move together. Aunt Wang's voice is equally distinct. Her dialogue shifts on a dime from fake sweetness to sneering hostility in the span of two sentences. 'Xiaoman, I came today to ask where you bought your salt' versus 'Hmph! You're so stingy!'—that's a character who can't regulate her emotions and doesn't care who sees it. The narrative doesn't need to tell us she's nasty; her words do the work. And the tea stall ending? The woman's smile stiffening, glancing around to make sure no one was listening, her eyes sweeping over the girls—this is dialogue through action. She doesn't say a word but the entire scene shifts. The author knows how to let silence and physical description carry the weight of what's unsaid. That's craft.
great book I hope the author doesn't abandon the book
An absolutely gripping read! The world-building is immersive, the characters are compelling, and the plot keeps you hooked from start to finish. Can't wait for more!
Man this is great. Love it. ? Action, system, adventure and without harem! The world building and writing make me genuinely shiver for their gargantuan scale and ambiance. The MC is not OP either! Hope the author gets enough revenue to do this full-time and update daily?
This novel is compelling and intriguing. The tension is relentless and the mysteries are haunting and addictive. I love it and make sure to read guys
Pretty interesting novel so far - I appreciated how it starts and builds up the 'entity,' slowly giving him character and showing how different he is from people.
The story is well paced and described in a detailed and mature manner. The mystery surrounding the narration is very enjoyable. I am hooked and looking forward to seeing new chapters. I recommend everyone to try this
It's a good example of how to develop a system novel. The writer did a good job with opening and throughing the mc right into the action but also adding meaning to it. The way the world was explained was logical and made sense, and it wasn't overwhelming it was simple and to the point. Great story overall and ill be adding it to my library's
An shameless 5 star from the books author.
Author, please give up. This is just terrible. The conversations suck. The characters suck. The writing sucks. The smut sucks. It all just sucks. Please give up and do something meaningful with your life instead of wasting it away here.
Author I really like this your novel my only problem with it 's the updating your updating stability is very low, please if it's two chapters in a day, it's okay
