For the people who call this novel trash just because of the title "Maverick Chef" is really a narrow-minded person. You can read in the synopsis that "Bai Lu grew up in a mysterious prison, where he learnt many interesting abilities." He grew up in a PRISON! with different kinds of people that he encountered living there is enough for him to have various skills and logically can include it in the story.
A person in real life can have a lot of experience and skills in various things and jobs especially if you're not a well-off person, so don't judge this book if the story is not a proper gourmet novel. This kind of story makes it more interesting because it's not just all about cooking, it also shows the background of MC.

I'm pretty sure these were in the top 5 at the time everyone knew the acronyms but here you go
165. His feeling for a particular lady, for the last couple of chapters, have jumped me out of the blue. Jealousy is such an ugly little thing. It's so f***ing weird, this infatuation of his. It's got him making dumb decisions, eyeing a place beyond his budget, just to be close to her. Why must there be an element of romance in this novel? Please don't be a simp.
The story line is boring no substance. There are too many unnecessary scenes.
This novel is absolutely incredible and unique, unlike anything I have read before. The best part is that the novel just continues to get better and better as the story goes on. The author has taken the genres of the system, apocalypse, supernatural/ sci-fi, and the concepts of superpowers, AI, and advanced tech, and was able to blend them together creating his own unique take that is awesome to read. I recommend this novel to everyone
uhhhhh who is saying this book is elite? This book is bad. Like really bad. Don't read this book if you want logic, consistency, character growth, a good plot. In it's current state it's really weak. I donno if this is spoilers since it's literally the first 5 chapters but he very first plot point is that the MC gets accepted into the holy church for being the youngest mage to awaken and have a compatibility with light. The head priest of the church who is accepting him as his disciple decides not to give him a guard or a trinket to save his life or anything for that matter. We then learn there is a Head priest of the village that the MC lives in who has a son who also happened to awaken with light compatibility at the same time but he's a lil old so not so cool. The head Priest of the entire church says nope I'm not gonna accept him in the church he has to go the long way to get into the church. The problem with this is that we immediately after this fact learn how rare light users are.... so why didn't the head priest accept him? This leads to obvious hatred in the sons heart and conflict arises but you see how forced that was? How illogical that whole scenario was? It's like listening to a 5 yo lie to you using 5 yo logic but you are an adult and you can see right through it. Then there's the word padding, it starts right in the beginning. The author will blatantly rewrite but slightly reword sentences that are just reiterating the same thing over and over. Stuff you normally see in novels after they go platinum sometimes.I don't understand how this is ranked so high.... This book reminded me why I like books that have been published and have editors and an author who rereads their own work and makes multiple drafts. I hope the author goes back and rewrites this cause it seems like there's good ideas in there it just feels like whoever wrote this is in elementary school (very rookie writing mistakes). It's like that. I hate leaving bad reviews cause I'd much rather love a book than feel like I've been wasting my time.
Voy por el capitulo 22 pero como veo que por el estilo de Cultivador con IA moderna, voy a dar la misma puntuacion porque ya se que sera igual de buena, aunque el inicio personalmente me gusta mas la del cultivador con IA moderna. Me gusta mucho las novelas que haces y como arranca la sangre virgen para hacer suya la linea de sangre. Asi que no voy a esperar a leer mas y directamente te doy mi puntuacion. Por favor no hagas como hacen otros escritores con sus fans dejando la novela tirada de las 3 novelas que estas escribiendo, ya que luego pasare directamente a dragon primordial y dar tiempo a que vayas escribiendo mas capitulos. Muchas gracias por tus fantasticas novelas sigue escribiendo.Recomiendo estas 2 novelas y si me gusta la otra tambien la recomendare.

just read to the recent vol (vol 4) and this make me willing to give more review.I never thought the author will go his story to this path. I will said, this is masterpiece.Spoiler, after MC has struggle with every problem around him, volume 4 is the slice of life with many moral lesson that make you tears a happy tear but also a sad tear. Happy because it leads to how MC start to understand the value of life. Sad because the sins that the mc has done in the past, back attacking his moral.
