'Irrelevant.' That word just... hit me. Xi Yu uses it to describe everything about Wen Yining's life outside their contract, but the narration immediately clarifies: it wasn't stubbornness, it was genuine indifference. That's the thing that gets me. If he was being stubborn about it, there'd still be something there—jealousy, pride, some messy emotion he's fighting. But he's genuinely indifferent. Or so he tells himself. And yet. And YET. His eyes keep drifting back to the bar. He watches Zhao Mingyuan grab her wrist again and what does he do? Takes another sip of whiskey. The gap between his stated feelings and his actual behavior is where the whole relationship lives, you know? I keep waiting for him to snap out of it. Meanwhile, Zhao Mingyuan is this pathetic, suffocating presence. He's clinging to Wen Yining like she owes him something, and the worst part is he frames it as love. "Tangtang listens to you the most. If you speak up for me, she'll definitely forgive me." Like he's the victim here. Like HE's the one who's been wronged. Wen Yining's reaction is so telling—she's not even mad at first, she's just trying to de-escalate. "Let go first. I'll go find her." She's negotiating with someone who doesn't want to be let go. And then there's the floral shirt guy. Who even is he? He shows up out of nowhere, says some ridiculous line about knowing Zhao's dad, and throws a punch. Is he a hero? A menace? Both? I need to know more about him because his energy is so different from everyone else in this scene.
"Zebra, zebra, do you remember me? I'm a fool who only knows how to sing." This line from the bar scene haunts me because it's the first time we see Shi Yan as someone who feels deeply, who has suffered. And then immediately after, he's the guy who buys her oxygen bottles, wraps his scarf around her neck, and lights a flame for her frozen hands. The contrast is everything. Chen Jiayan is the safe option—the one who asks if she has a boyfriend, who offers himself with that ridiculous 'I have a car and a house' pitch, who notices her expressions shift when Li Sicheng's name comes up. But it's Shi Yan who shows up when she's stranded without a wallet in a crowded street at night, who buys her dinner without being asked, who notices she hasn't eaten. The dynamic between these three is so layered. Chen Jiayan represents the life she could have—stable, kind, predictable. Shi Yan represents the life she's afraid to want—dangerous, unreadable, intoxicating. And Ruan Zhizhi? She's caught between gratitude and something far more terrifying. Every time she thanks him, it feels like she's building a wall. But walls can be climbed.
Overall, it's not bad, with a lot of plot and content

Author here! The Billionaires Sweet Editor is my first webnovel, and, well, the first book I’ve ever attempted to write. That’s why I’m giving myself four stars. That said, I hope you have fun reading and if you did, please leave a review and let me hear what you have to say—good or bad, I’m here to learn.✧
The novel is fun and deep, the world is built is amazing and the secondary characters are wonderful and not superficial, only the title alone attracts you, the main character is the best of the work. I will not lie, this review is from a friend, however, if you are in doubt, I advise you to read it so that you believe everything you said.
The first chapter got me hooked. Kudos to the writer. I will get coins to unlock the chapters. It’s captivating ?
