Okay so I have to talk about this flood scene because holy crap. The author just destroyed an entire village in two paragraphs and I was sitting there like — wait, what? One minute they're climbing a mountain in the rain, the next, boom, Huangshi Village is gone. And Lin Yue's reaction? Cold sweat, barely able to imagine what would've happened if they'd stayed. It's dark but also kind of genius because it completely severs their past. No one alive to remember what they did. Big Yellow Teeth is at the bottom of the river, the village is rubble, and they're free to start over. But here's what really got me — the fridge mechanic. I know it sounds silly but the way it's revealed is actually really clever. First she finds the buns are gone, then they reappear, then she notices the countdown timer. The reveal that they refresh every six hours? That's when my jaw dropped. Four buns per cycle, and the space can preserve things too. This changes everything for the plot — she's not just surviving, she's going to be fine. Actually, she might be the most well-fed person in this entire region. The pacing between chapters 7 and 14 is also noteworthy. It moves from desperate escape → natural disaster → shelter → discovery of the fridge's true power. Each beat builds on the last without feeling rushed. The only thing I'd question is whether the fridge appearing so conveniently right when she needs it feels a bit too convenient, but honestly, in a transmigration story, I'll allow it.
I need to start by saying: I read these chapters in one sitting. One. Sitting. The pacing is absolutely ruthless in the best way possible. The chapter opens with Su Zhisheng already several steps ahead of everyone else, dealing with the aftermath of his adoptive mother's surgery. Quick resolution — surgery went well, recovery on track — and then BOOM, he's at the police station. No filler, no wasted time. The Zhou Jiale case plays out, the family drama unfolds, and just when you think it's done, Xing Tianwei pulls him into the next thread. Then there's this week-long time skip — "over the following week, Su Zhisheng was extremely busy" — and it works perfectly. It gives us breathing room without losing momentum. We know he's juggling hospital visits and his internship, and that sets up the Gao Lijian subplot naturally. The engagement banquet recruitment feels like it's building toward something bigger, and the fact that it's connected to the Su family (the same family Su Zhisheng was originally from) is a ticking time bomb. The author is laying groundwork without being obvious about it. And the rat scene? It comes right after the relatively calm recruitment visit, and the shift in tone is jarring in a good way. One moment it's a mundane job interview, the next it's a horror-adjacent discovery about a rotting body in a basement. The escalation is seamless. What I love most is how the author controls information. We know Su Zhisheng can hear animals. We know he's connected to the Su family somehow. We know there's a fake young master. But the full picture is still emerging, and that slow reveal keeps me hooked. The cliffhanger energy is real — not every chapter ends with a dramatic hook, but the cumulative tension is relentless.
guys does this have ntr? if yes then I would like to stay away from it
I’m really hoping the brother is the ML. I hate the older brother, he raped her. Assuming the car accident was not her fault, please author she deserves a better half.
A good story like it a lot and thr development of the story is good
I am really interested in the premise and love the execution. So far so good ?.
It feels almost illegal to find this awesome piece of work this early. The author has gone above and beyond to vividly describe the world around. This is the biggest strength of this fiction, very detailed, and intricate visualisation. ~Like... some great fiction, Lord of... ahem.. mysteries. Since it is a bit too new. I still need to see how the plot develops! 'Til then, author-san, you have gained a follower.
bro, your story is truly amazing, and I can't wait for more chapters to be released
Honestly I love this novel,i love your uniqueness of writing the content
“…oh shit.”That was my first reaction reading the synopsis. Its amazing. I love how the whole premise is set in a futuristic world. Although there is scope for improvement in the grammar, I like the overall dynamics of the characters.
Haelyn is missing?! where is she? and Layla isn't stopping
I’ll be honest with you all—this lady has written brilliantly so far, no doubt about it ?. But if she messes up in the future, I won’t hesitate to toss my words right out the window ?! For now, though, everything is on point, and it’s definitely worth your time. Let’s see where this journey takes us!
