I need to talk about how the author structures these chapters because the pacing is absolutely ruthless in the best way. Chapter 14 starts with the confrontation—immediate tension, no warm-up. Bai Lili and Taotao at the door, Su Jiuyue already armed and ready. The dialogue snaps back and forth like a tennis match and by the time Su Jiuyue slams the door, I was breathless. Then Li Yanchuan appears and the chapter pivots from external conflict to internal reckoning. He goes home, asks Bai Lili that devastating question about how he treated Jiuyue, and the chapter ends with her lying to him while plotting. Chapter 15 is where it gets really clever. It starts with Li Yanchuan's late-night realization—the thunderbolt moment where he understands the fundamental injustice. But then Bai Lili's manipulation sequence unfolds, and by the time he's holding her in the dark, the chapter has done a complete 180. He's not just questioning his fairness anymore, he's actively choosing the wrong path. The chapter ends on that note of tragic momentum. Chapter 16 opens with Su Jiuyue's morning routine, completely detached from the previous night's drama. That contrast IS the structure. She's living her life while he's drowning in his choices. And then the sneeze—seven or eight rapid-fire sneezes—and the chapter cuts off with that superstitious thought. It's a perfect button. The pacing never lets you rest. You finish one chapter and immediately need the next, not because of cliffhangers in the traditional sense, but because the emotional logic is so compelling.

hey found this gem and I gotta say I love the concept of the story, I just hope he can find happiness, maybe with Lorraine, after getting payback on that gold digger and so called best friend. I would've giving 5 stars, but there is one issue that can be easily resolved with a proofreader and editor so that this story can become a true masterpiece it has the potential to be. Keep up the great work.

Just a thought—consider spacing out your lore drops a bit more. The Akashic Records, NULL, the VOID, Nyxia—it’s a lot to take in sometimes. Still fascinating though!
