Let me just lay out the stakes because this is genuinely tense. Three days ago, Gu Anyun was on her way to get a DIVORCE CERTIFICATE. She had already made the decision. She was actively leaving Jin Chenyue. And then she got rear-ended, hit her head, and woke up believing they're deeply in love. The irony is so sharp it could cut glass. But here's what keeps me up at night: what happens when she remembers? What happens when the amnesia lifts and she realizes she was right to want out? Jin Chenyue has essentially trapped her in a fantasy version of their marriage, and when the truth comes out, the fallout will be catastrophic. The suspense is maintained masterfully because we, the readers, know more than any of the characters. We know Jin Chenyue already left for Xingcheng. We know Gu Anyun is dressing up to pick him up from a hospital he already vacated. We know Lian Caige is the only person who suspects something is wrong ('She actually told me that the two of you have been deeply in love for the past three years. I don't believe it.'). And the question hanging over everything: did Jin Chenyue actually love her during those three years, or is he just playing along now because she can't remember otherwise? The stakes aren't just about whether they'll divorce—they're about whether this fake love could become real, and what that would cost both of them when the truth surfaces.
Can we talk about how the author built this entire chapter around the auditorium like it was a stage set for a thriller? The fan-shaped tiered layout, the forty-meter distance from stage to back row, the backstage passage where Chu Yiran hides like a rat in the walls—it all feels so meticulously designed. I keep coming back to one image: Chu Yiran in that dark gray shirt, low ponytail, barely noticeable makeup, moving through the dimmed auditorium like a shadow. The lights are down, only spotlights on stage, and she's this gray figure slipping along the left aisle while everyone's attention is locked on the screen. The author doesn't need to say "she was trying to be invisible" because the whole scene is constructed around invisibility. The teacups aligned "as neatly as if measured with a ruler"—this is a woman controlling every tiny variable because the one variable she can't control is sitting forty meters away on a stage. And the contrast between the public spectacle of the briefing and the private terror in Chu Yiran's chest. The vice president giving reports, the financial director presenting data, all this corporate normalcy happening while backstage, a woman is leaning against a wall taking deep breaths because a man's hand brushed past hers twenty seconds ago. The restroom mirror scene also stuck with me. She stands in front of it for two full minutes checking her complexion, her collar, making sure nothing gives her away. That's such a specific, human detail. It's not dramatic or cinematic—it's just this quiet, desperate moment of someone making sure they look normal before stepping back into a world where one wrong move could destroy everything. The cafeteria scenes too. The crowded lunch, the bland stir-fried shredded potatoes, the farthest corner seat. These small domestic details ground the whole high-stakes tension in something real. This isn't just a thriller, it's a thriller that happens in a place where people also just... eat lunch.
It looks like a very interesting story. I have started reading it. I love this type of story and it looks really special.
it's another good wolf novel, the storyline characters world building everything was well made keep up the good work hoping for the next chapters.
I love the story I dea and the mixture of culture, I look forward for more of your stories.
Small note: sometimes the descriptions get so detailed it can slow the pace during intense scenes. Maybe trim a sentence or two during high-stakes moments to keep the momentum going.
The book is interesting for those who love dark/royal romance. King Karl is a character that one can't help but fall in love. How can a man be do dangerous yet sweet?
i will have more chapters coming soon so

Their banter is witty and engaging, and their romance is filled with passion, excitement, and drama. The author's writing style is effortless, making it easy to become fully invested in the story and its characters. One of the standout aspects of this novel is its well-developed and complex characters. Sophia is a strong and independent protagonist who is not afraid to speak her mind and stand up for herself. Alexander, on the other hand, is a brooding and intense billionaire with a soft spot for Sophia. Their relationship is multifaceted, and their interactions are filled with tension, humor, and romance.
Just started reading this story and I gotta say, it's pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to see how the OG protagonist will react to the presence of our MC ?
Liking it already just from the first two chapters, great plotline and intriguing leads.
