I need to address the elephant in the room: Zhu Xiankai is hands down the funniest character in this entire novel and I am here for it. Let me just quote this exchange because it's too good: "Brother Han, Comrade Cheng is your girlfriend, huh?" ... "God, people really are unfair. I'm already not as good-looking as you, and now even my girlfriend isn't as pretty as yours!" Everyone: "……" Sun Jian: "What girlfriend?!" Zhu Xiankai: "Do you think I could find someone prettier than Comrade Cheng?" Sun Jian: "……" This man has no self-preservation instinct whatsoever and I love him for it. He's eating Han Dongyuan's braised beef, receiving free White Rabbit candies, and his immediate response is to provoke the most dangerous person in the room. The comedy timing is impeccable. But what's really impressive is how every character has a distinct voice. Liao Sheng is the grounded one—the one who laughs but also delivers the warning: "Don't mess with Comrade Cheng. You saw what happened this morning." His dialogue is functional, practical, but there's warmth underneath. Sun Jian is the deadpan responder, always hitting him with the "……" silence. Yang Hongbing is the new guy, still figuring out the social landscape, which makes him the perfect audience surrogate. And Han Dongyuan—this man barely speaks and when he does, it's devastating. "Eat your food and shut up. Even beef can't keep your mouth busy." That's it. That's the whole line. But it's perfect. It tells us everything about who he is: he doesn't have patience for nonsense, he's not cruel, he's just done with people who won't stop talking. Cheng Ning's defense of Han Dongyuan is also incredibly revealing dialogue. "He may look fierce and have a bad temper, but he's warm-hearted, upright, kind, and even gentle with small animals." Who talks like this about someone? This is someone who has been paying attention. This is someone who sees past the surface. The author's dialogue writing is genuinely excellent. Every conversation advances character, plot, or both. Nothing is wasted.
Seems like a waste of time in my opinion. The character's rants aren't evenly spaced. The author should take a breather here and there to let the plot move instead of having the readers suffer reading some depressed-middle-grader's thoughts.Read this if you have the time to waste.
I don't know but this story is very very very very very nice. I like the girl character so much. She can very well make an emotion of a reader go wild so nice.
trust me when I say this, the synopsis isn't half bad. it's clear, concise and gives us the idea of what it's about.I'hv seen plenty novels where they post bunch of nonsensical words like 'shadows', 'heaven' and 'darkness' to somehow appeal to the reader by boasting their emo-vocabulary.Unexpectedly, even the book is good! it jumps right into the story without any unnecessary stretches/fillers, and gives us exactly what we wish for.i like the pacing so far, it got all the right tags, mc's personality is bearable...hence, added to my collection ?
cool martial art light novel, well writtrn story plot i like mc fighting art i sudjust to add system on it, add more humor to hook and attract reader i already add it on my collection book, so keep going and update daily.
The novel is interesting and fun to read when you're bored, but the story reminds me of the Korean manhwa The Genius Academy Blinker in several ways, such as the skill that can only use movement techniques.

Add this book to your library. You will not regret it I promise
I’ve been a fan of your work since Holy Necromancer, though I have to admit I started losing interest after he regained his memory (honestly, I might have dropped it, if i Was already not in love with it).Now that I see you’ve released a new novel with such a cool concept, I’m really excited! Please, I beg you—don’t take it in the same direction as before. I’m already hooked, and I truly hope you do justice to this story. As a huge fan, I’m looking forward to this masterpiece!
As Curtains Fall presents a gripping narrative that delves into the complexities of law enforcement and the moral dilemmas faced by those in power. In Chapter 2, titled "Troopers and Freedom," the story intensifies as Kostas and his team grapple with the repercussions of their actions. The chapter opens with Kostas reflecting on a critical mistake: the impulsive killing of a high-profile criminal turned media symbol. This event sets the tone for the unfolding drama, highlighting the tension between the Troopers' methods and public perception. The narrative effectively captures Kostas's internal conflict and the looming threat of media backlash, adding depth to his character. The introduction of Harry, a nervous messenger from the capital, adds another layer of intrigue. His presence signals the higher authorities' concern over the Troopers' recent actions, hinting at potential consequences and the precarious nature of their legitimacy. The interactions between Kostas, Harry, and other team members like Kamala and Freddie are well-crafted, showcasing distinct personalities and underlying tensions within the group. The author skillfully uses dialogue and setting to build suspense. The scene transitions—from the restroom confrontation to the common area with a heated TV debate—mirror the escalating stakes and the scrutiny the Troopers face. The debate on television about the Troopers' legalization serves as a clever narrative device, reflecting the broader societal conflict and differing viewpoints on their role. However, the chapter leaves several questions unanswered, particularly regarding the implications of the Troopers' actions and the specifics of the mission mentioned by Harry. This deliberate ambiguity piques curiosity, encouraging readers to continue exploring the story.Overall, Troopers and Freedom is a compelling chapter that balances action, character development, and ethical quandaries. It sets the stage for further exploration of the Troopers' world and the challenges they will inevitably face. Readers who appreciate nuanced storytelling with moral complexity will find this chapter particularly engaging.
The world-building is equally impressive. From vivid descriptions of breathtaking landscapes to the intricacies of the novel's lore and societies, everything feels alive and immersive. The author’s attention to detail makes it easy to lose yourself in the universe they’ve created. What I appreciate most about this web novel is its pacing. The story unfolds seamlessly, balancing moments of intense action with heartfelt dialogue and quiet reflection. The cliffhangers are perfectly placed, leaving you craving more without feeling forced.
why has the update stability droped from 3 ch/ day to just one now?
