"I know you are inexperienced... but I will tell you what to do. Your only job is to follow instructions. Open your mouth." As she listened she felt her breath hitch and her chest tighten nervously. She had wondered about sexual intimacy of course, had had her moments of curiosity about what it would be like, but now, in such circumstances, with a creature who had fed on her very life.. she swallowed, nervously casting her eyes about the room. She felt a stirring within her, a desire to know more, to feel more and experience more, but it was tempered with fear and confused by pain. The moments passed in silence before he tapped her cheek gently, his voice a low growl of impatience.
Zen quickly reacted and sidestepped away from Lance's kick and as Lance's body passed by, he delivered an uppercut to the ribs breaking one of Lance's rib but Zen wasn't finished. The force from his punch was about to fling Lance upward but Zen caught one of his legs and pulled him down before following up with a kick.
She slowly walked towards him till his back was not plated to the wall. With a dangerous glint in her eyes, she gave him another smile that gave him creeps.''From today on, till the potatoes are grown, you are definitely forbidden to go out the palace or even call Kendra over here. The potatoes you will eat after he said they are enough. If you try to slip, I will make punishment even worse, wanna try me?''
The sun had started to set so I started a fire to keep us warm while Quoron stared at me in amazement. I looked at him trying to see if there was any treatury in his deep purple eyes. All I saw however was a deep sense of loss. Wondering what had caused him that pain I announced that we will start training tomorrow and that we should get some rest.
"You're gonna send me home, again?" A playful smile appeared on my face. "Is that you're specialty, Hannibal?"
Jason asusually , had his eyes staring at everybody especially girls. Everyone is busy with their pre planned schedule except me. I was eagerly waiting for my love to arrive. This time, I wanted to be conscious unlike last time when I slept dreaming of her and returned disappointed.

Kevin:"I'm proud of you. None of you is a simple Primex. In the future all of your dreams will be achieved. I'll be the one how will make it come true or I'll die trying."
Okay so let me just say this right now—the meat-buying trip is honestly one of the smartest plot moves in the entire book. On the surface, it's just a wife going to the city to buy pork. But underneath? It's a masterclass in showing us how cautious Mu Youyou is, how strategic their relationship already is, and how the world they live in actually works. The plot here operates on two levels simultaneously. Level one: she needs meat, goes to the supply station, gets judged by Wang Guihua, makes an ally in Auntie Li. Classic military compound social dynamics. Level two: she's deliberately creating an alibi. She buys meat, then hides it in her space, then returns with it as if she bought it legitimately. When she explains to Gu Beiting that "we can't leave any clues," it hits different because suddenly we realize—this woman has been thinking several steps ahead since day one. The subplot with Wang Guihua is small but effective. It introduces conflict without being over-the-top dramatic. A snide comment on a bus, Auntie Li defending her, and that's it. No huge confrontation, no villain arc established. Just... life. And that's what makes it feel real. The cooking sequence is where the plot really picks up momentum. Gu Beiting helping her cut meat, the lard scene, the dumpling making—each moment pushes their dynamic forward. By the end of these chapters, the contract marriage has clearly shifted into something neither of them expected. And Gu Beiting's internal monologue at the end—"Could it be… I like her?"—is the plot's way of saying: yeah, things have changed. The only thing I'd say is that the transition from "roommates" to "maybe something more" happens so smoothly that I almost missed it on first read. That's either brilliant pacing or I need to re-read it. Probably both.
Previously shaking in excitement, Vanda transformed to look like a deflated balloon.
"You don't know how to cook and you never entered the kitchen when I cook, plus the fact you took too much time so it was an easy guess" he explained.
"But that doesn't mean she can just waltz around and get everything done by others. I like the way Noah treats her. She deserves it. She thinks that she can impress Noah with her wealth and fake beauty. Little does she know he is all blind to girls especially girls like her," Vanessa said.
