There's one line in this entire chapter that I cannot stop thinking about. Yun Juan gets into the carriage with Xiao Lanting and thinks: "Home. She silently repeated the word in her heart. Did she have a home now? Could the place where she lived together with Xiao Lanting truly be called home?" And then: "But she had begun to feel that Xiao Lanting was actually a very good person. Well... Just a little... shamelessly flirtatious." That's it. That's the whole emotional arc of the story compressed into two sentences. She's not sure what home means anymore. She's been betrayed by her own family, forced into a marriage swap, treated as worthless her entire life. And now this cold, dangerous man who tortures people for fun is looking at her like she matters. The ginseng soup scene is funny on the surface — Jiaoyue whispering to Yun Juan about what the soup is really for, Yun Juan's ears turning red — but underneath it, there's something tender. Xiao Lanting ordered the soup every single day. One bowl a day. He's taking care of her in these small, practical ways that he'd never admit to out loud. And Yun Juan is starting to let herself feel it. The moment she accepts the dress from Changfeng and says thank you, she's not just grateful for the revenge. She's grateful that someone noticed she was hurt. That someone fought for her. "It was the heart of the man before her—the fact that he had been willing to help her." That's the whole romance right there. It's not grand declarations. It's showing up. It's making sure she's protected. It's crushing her enemy's gifts under carriage wheels. I'm not okay.
I read it about halfway through, and honestly, it is a very interesting book. I really like how the Biocores differ from the regular cultivation that WN offers; a very fresh start for me. Mind you, I don't read too many apocalyptic books, but decided to turn this into my first, and it is definitely a pleasant read. I like how the character and book dives into a field that's different from what other books show. he isn't some battle maniac diving into just fights, but there is weapon designs and much more, which is a neat thing. Still gonna read more to see how the character design carries forward, but I see potential in the story development. Although I love evil mc's or unorthodox mc's, I'm hoping this one won't be toooooo cliched.
The new book is here!! After waiting for so long, my sister finally uploaded it! (,,> ᴗ <,,)Friends who like apocalyptic stories, you must try this book! I say this not because I am this author's sister, but because I have read every chapter available in her stockpile. (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)As we all know, the author has a very strong ability to write about romance, feelings, and character growth. With this as the main course, coupled with her newly acquired writing skills for battle scenes, scheming, and multiple plotlines, you can expect a fun and exciting story! ٩(ˊᗜˋ )وGive this story a try and you might be surprised to find a gem! (˶ˆᗜˆ˵)
This gripping saga masterfully intertwines the fates of Earth and Kapteyn’s Star, blending cosmic drama with profound existential questions. The looming collapse driven by the AGI-ST Program mirrors humanity's real-world anxieties, while the resurgence of the Spirit Key offers a tantalizing glimpse of ancient wisdom. A thought-provoking exploration of technology, destiny, and the quest for salvation, this epic promises a journey that transcends time and space, challenging readers to ponder the future of existence itself. Truly a visionary tale!
Waited and read...a piece of work that might surpass his other works!
So far, the book is great! I am also writing a necromancer novel, but yours is a lot better: more fast paced and progress every chapter! Hope to see more!
I've enjoyed it so far. it's a good read.
Well I shouldn't judge from starting but it has a lot of potential...I just hope mc will act like an alpha male and will have a lot fight sequence? and lemon chapters also ?...My suggestion to mighty author ?
So far I’m really enjoying this novel. The story is fast paced without feeling overwhelming.Normally I don’t read this kind of novel but I’ve been absolutely hooked from the start. The world building is phenomenal and so far every character that has been introduced has been compelling and dynamic. Can’t wait to see what happens.
