There's a symbol running through this entire batch that I can't stop thinking about, and it's Chu Chenshan's ability: Seal. It can only be used once. One use, then it's gone forever. I keep coming back to this as a metaphor for leadership in the apocalypse—everything is finite, every card you have is limited, and the greatest act of power is sometimes knowing when to spend it all on a single moment. The photograph he clutches while looking at his grandson? That's the grandfather side of him, the man who wants to live to see his granddaughter safe. The Seal is the commander side, the man who will trade his remaining days for the base's survival. And then there's the whole rebirth thing with Wu Cheng, which is its own kind of symbol—what does it mean to be given a second chance in a world that already killed you once? Is it redemption, or is it just another opportunity to make different mistakes? The corrosive ability eating Chu Muhuan from the inside is another symbol I can't shake. It's not just a plot device; it's the apocalypse itself made manifest—something that enters your body through betrayal (his own copied ability wounded him) and slowly consumes you from within. The traitors inside the base, the ability to copy, the one-time seal—these all tie together into a theme about trust and its consequences. Who do you trust when the people around you can become your enemies? When abilities can be stolen, when loyalty is the rarest resource in the world?
I am NOT okay with how funny this character's dialogue is. Like, I came for the tension and the political intrigue and I stayed because Jiang Yihuan said "Little meatball! I've caught you!" at a formal family dinner and then quoted Wei Zhao telling her to kill anyone who laughs at her. I literally screamed. The author has crafted this voice that is so distinctly hers — simple, direct, unapologetically herself — and it cuts through every pretentious scene like a knife. The best part? She's completely making up these quotes from Wei Zhao. Zhu Xian is sitting there like "...Huh? Did the Master ever say that?" and Jiang Yihuan is just weaponizing his reputation to get free soup and a cushion. This is tactical genius disguised as innocence. And the dialogue between the women is equally sharp. Wei Zhilan's line "You're stealing my brother from me!" is such a raw, honest confession of jealousy that it hits different. It's not subtle, but it doesn't need to be. Madam Heng's internal monologue about wanting to devote all her love to her daughter but having to navigate a complicated family instead — that's written with this quiet ache that contrasts perfectly with the comedy. Old Madam Wei's dialogue is where it gets really interesting. She's performing matriarch at every turn — the forced smile, the passive-aggressive jabs at Madam Heng, the way she slams the table. Her voice is all authority and control, which makes Jiang Yihuan's complete disregard for her status even funnier. When Yihuan drinks the mouth-rinsing water and calls it "heavenly spring water," Old Madam Wei has no response. She can't punish a girl who doesn't understand the game. The author's narrative voice itself is this perfect balance of warmth and sharpness. It doesn't mock the characters — it loves them even when they're being ridiculous. And that's why the humor lands so hard.
Hello, everyone! I'm the author of this story and after seeing how other authors wrote their own reviews and used it as information board or place where you all can share your thoughts in case you don't want to write a review.***General Information***- I won't drop the series mid-way!- I will regularly update the story, so you will always have chapter(s) to read per week.- The story is quite a slow-paced one.- Curious of the tags? Let me give you some that I can think of: Fantasy, Slice of Life, Comedy, Drama, Psychological, Reincarnation, Female Protagonist, Age Progression, Sword and Magic.- I also publish this story in other platforms, all under the same pen name, but expect the numbering and parting to be quite different from the other platforms, as in this webnovel platform, I set the maximum chapter length to be around 2000 words, with 1000+ words as the average chapter length here.- I love Japanese novels, so expect that this story will get influences from them, i.e. the style of the writing.======================================***Story Overview***If you want to know what to look forward to and don't mind to get some possible spoilers, continue to read these points, but if you want your life to be full of surprises, jump to continue reading my thoughts and comments after the "=====" line.- This story will start out as Slice of Life that focuses on the MC's new life, how she can come to terms with her forced reincarnation, and try to learn about her new life as she tries to break free from the chains of her past life. I want to give the feeling of growing up together with the MC to the readers. The conflicts she faced early on might be small, but it would gradually turn into bigger issues. As of now, the issues she faced might be quite trivial (like how she had to face her past self's acquaintances and family members; and tried to hide the fact that she's reincarnated).- Will this remain a relaxed Slice of Life (SoL)? The answer is no. I have conflicts and actions ready in the future for our MC, but I want to let her grow up in character before throwing her off to face the bigger issues planned for her. However, I won't abandon the SoL aspect, as there will be SoL chapters even amidst the conflicts. - Lastly or TL:DR, I want you all to really feel and experience the life of our MC here, and not just read through all the conflicts and how she might be able to handle all of them, or just shoving off some actions to wow you. It might be the contributing factor to the slow pacing this story has. Hopefully, you will be able to experience the life that the MC has in this story and feel more connected to the world of this story! ======================================***My Thoughts and Comments***- Thank you for reading my story. I would be really glad if you are enjoying the story I'm writing. I hope I can continue to make this story better and that it won't disappoint you in the end ^^- Don't hesitate if you want to drop some comments or point out if I made typos, I would really appreciate that!- I really appreciate all the supports you give towards this story (comments, votes/powerstones, etc). They will all be my motivation to keep this story going and to make the story better.I think that's all, and in case this review can't be edited and I would like to add anything, I will write it in this review's reply. I hope this review can get my thoughts crossed out to you guys about the story I'm writing. Oh, also... I'm giving five stars to my own story for a personal goal to make this story as good as possible! And my last word would be : thank you very much!

I don't know why this novel is not famous because it is quite good. i know it is slow paced and the starting chapters have mistakes but with time author writing is improving and the story is starting to get interesting so if you (readers) don't show support author might drop it so for story to get completed you all should comment atleast to show your support
Only 80 chapters written so far but I’m really enjoying the story. I envy those that pick this up later when there’s a larger chapter count. I’ve been reading since the beginning when I came across this novel on Tik Tok and there was like 3 chapters out. Keep going Author?
This is the first novel I’m reading & I love it as much as watching anime ? I can really picture what I’m reading. 5 stars
I'm tired of generic novels and so far this hasn't disappointed.
