Can we talk about how natural and funny the dialogue is in this book? Because I was genuinely surprised. The wolf beastman's introduction of Karl is perfect: 'Hey! Karl!' followed by the enthusiastic pitch about Lilith. It feels like real banter between friends who've known each other forever. And Karl's response? Just a 'Snort!' and walking away. One word, one sound, and we know everything about his personality. The author doesn't need paragraphs of description—Karl's silence speaks volumes. Then there's Karl's internal monologue, which is where the voice really shines. 'Just what kind of person would leave a female alone in the forest?' That line is so Karl—protective, judgmental, but also genuinely confused by a world that operates differently from his values. And when he tries to talk to Qin Zhenzhen in wolf form: 'Awoo-woo-wuff~' I cannot stop thinking about this. The author has the comedic timing of a stand-up comedian. Karl wants to say something meaningful, something charming, and instead he sounds like a Husky having an identity crisis. 'Pfft!' Qin Zhenzhen's laugh is the perfect response—it's human, it's warm, and it immediately breaks the tension between them. Qin Zhenzhen's dialogue is sparse but effective. 'Did you come to save me?' 'Thank you.' 'Tribe?' Each line reveals her state of mind—confused, grateful, processing. And Karl's 'Come back to the tribe with me!' is forceful but not cruel. You can hear the desperation underneath it, like he's afraid she'll say no. The dialogue here does so much heavy lifting for character development, and it never feels forced or expository.
What I love about this text is that the stakes are never just 'will they survive the game.' It's layered. On the surface, yes, there are corpse-eating rats, a headless woman hunting for her head, and a Truth or Dare game that everyone dreads because the 'Dare' portion apparently means death. But the real conflict—the one that keeps me up at night—is internal. Lu Yan's entire existence is a conflict. He's this monster who craves connection but expresses it through aggression and jealousy. When he snaps 'I just think he's annoying! Deduct my points if you want!' he's not really talking about Leng Yeting. He's saying 'I feel threatened and I don't know how to say that without sounding weak.' And the fact that Xia Miao sees right through it and rewards him with points instead of punishing him? That's the core emotional stake here. She's offering him something no one else in this nightmare world has: acceptance. Meanwhile, Ruan Zhizhi's conflict is quietly devastating. She's trapped in a situation where Leng Yeting saves her repeatedly, she can't help but feel something, but she's also acutely aware she 'absolutely had to keep her distance.' Her heart fluttering when he stands up for her, her cheeks flushing—this is someone who knows this is dangerous and feels it anyway. That's real stakes. Not 'will she die' but 'will she lose herself.' And the conjoined twins offering to kill Xia Miao while Lu Yan responds by impaling them through the body? That's the external conflict colliding with the internal one in the most violent way possible. He's not just protecting her from rats and games—he's protecting her from the very nature of this world. The stakes keep escalating and the author never lets you forget what's actually being risked.
PEAK is underestimated, it is SUPER PEAK
Once again, here we go everyone. This is a selfish and shameless five star review from the Author. Well… this was a good read. I don’t mostly read sci fi genre but the synopsis really drew me in.So far, I only read few chapters. I really like Sean’s character. The detailing were perfect but please just look out for capitalisation. It’s minor error. You can edit it later.Overall. Very recommended.
First book here. So please take it easy on meNo ntr No yuri
I just finished reading your book, and I have to say, it’s absolutely fantastic! I truly enjoyed it. I’d love to offer a few tips that might help boost the performance and visibility of your book even more. I believe these could take your work to the next level
I have never left a review, but I feel compelled. I have read countless novels on here, and I started this thinking it was going to be the same generic harem trash that is fine to pass the time, but holds little actual depth.Boy was I wrong. This has immediately jumped into my top-10 novels I have read, and I cruised through all of the available chapters in a day. The word-building, character depth, writing quality and overall plot and premise are all excellent. The story draws you in, and is able to elicit emotions few novels on here can. I could not recommend this more highly.
