"Yanyan, did I touch a sore spot?" — I literally stopped reading and stared at the ceiling after this line. Song Yueping is such a hopeless romantic, completely blind to the girl who actually cares about him, but the second his sister is upset? He's there. Hands hovering, unsure where to put them, genuinely panicked. The author doesn't even need to describe his face—just that moment of physical awkwardness says everything about how much he loves his family even while being a love-struck idiot. And then Song Yanyan starts crying, not from the head injury, but from remembering his death. The rainy night. The courtyard gate. Holding it shut while everything burned around them. Clinging to a guard's leg, slashed over a dozen times. I'm not even the main character and I'm devastated for this guy. She's carrying the grief of a life she technically didn't live, and she can't even tell anyone why she's crying. The Qi Lian and Song Risheng relationship is the sweet counterpoint to all this pain. Watching Song Risheng nearly stumble into the house with joy, arms and legs moving in awkward unison, wanting to spin his wife around—this is what healthy love looks like. It's not dramatic, it's just genuinely happy. Tian Denghua almost scolding him for being too excited but then stopping because she remembers his own father being equally foolish during her pregnancy? That generational echo of family love hit me right in the chest. The egg custard scene—Qi Lian offering her first bite to Song Yanyan before even tasting it herself, and Tian Denghua's fierce protectiveness over the pregnant daughter-in-law—this family is messy but they love each other. Really love each other. And that's what makes the underlying tragedy of Song Yanyan's memories hurt so much.
Let's be real—the stakes in this novel are NO JOKE and I am not okay. Yu Heng might never wake up. That's not even a side plot anymore, that's a ticking time bomb that Pei Yuezhou is carrying alone because he can't bring himself to tell Yu Zhi. He's sitting there at breakfast, knuckles white on his cutlery, watching her eyes light up at the thought of visiting her brother, and he can't say it. The internal conflict here is absolutely suffocating. Then you have the external conflict with Song Chuhe, who is basically a villain who protects the person who attacked him. What does that even mean?? Is he manipulating Yu Zhi? Does he have feelings for her? Is he planning something? The text says 'a glint of something sinister flickered in his pale gray eyes' right after he sponsors the guy who betrayed Yu Zhi. That's not mercy, that's calculation. And Pei Yuezhou's conflict with himself—was it right to force her into this marriage? Was it right to scheme? He wrestled with guilt, he questioned his actions, but then fate gave him a glimmer of hope and now he's terrified of losing it again. The line 'she would always be his' is equal parts romantic and deeply unsettling. Every conflict layer feeds into the next. Yu Zhi's exhaustion from the host side effects, Pei Yuezhou's hidden grief about her brother, Song Chuhe's mysterious agenda—it's all connected and the tension never lets up.
it's so nice have a lot of potential, the storyline characters world building everything was well made keep up the good work.
I like the start ...especially how you show the thread power...
I’m already on Chapter 5, and I wanted to leave a review! This is my first time reading a story about cultivation with a Chinese theme/characters, and I’m really enjoying it so far.The pacing of each chapter is great, and the character/world-building is well done and interesting. I just have a bit of trouble understanding some of the details about the power system. Hehehe, maybe I’m just a bit slow, sorry! :VSo if you’re planning to read this story, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! If you’re into cultivation and transmigration stories, you must give this one a try!
The hero's son is monster, the mc is.....
This one is a good novel but please work on update stability. I really enjoy it.
I love it so far. I do gotta say though. I feel like there could be a little (albiet fake or not) more romance involved if it's going to be in the romance genre. While, I do get the main genre idea, I feel like it could do with a little more. Aside from that. 4/5 stars. Great read.
Hey guys author here,I don't have much experience in writing and im just 17 still in highschool. So if there are any problems or corrections that needs to be done feel free to comment.
hey y'all, author here, this is my first work here, I am pretty sure I made a lot of mistakes, but I am trying to make it as good as possible. I like how this story is coming up. I like reading it as much as writing it. Thank you for giving it a chance. If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.
Kael system is very complex I can't understand it completely
