I'm not crying, you're crying. That yellow duck lunchbox. I know it's just a lunchbox but the author made me emotionally invested in a lunchbox and I will not be apologized for. The way Su Nuonuo prepares these breakfasts—'carefully squeezing salad dressing, as if she were measuring it with a scale'—this isn't just food, it's her way of saying 'I care about you' without having to say the words out loud. And Lu Zhiye, who has probably never had anyone do anything this thoughtful for him, doesn't know how to receive it. So he throws it away. But he can't let it go. He picks it back up like it's something precious. The rooftop scene is where it all comes together for me. The wind blowing his hair, the setting sun stretching their shadows into long silhouettes—'In the end, Lu Zhiye did not pull her hand away. He only let out a very soft, slightly hoarse surrender from his throat: …Suit yourself. Don't regret it later.' That surrender. That's the moment he stops fighting and lets himself want something he's never allowed himself to want before. And the fact that she's doing all this while carrying the weight of her 'previous life' memories? That adds this whole layer of bittersweet urgency to her actions. She's not just pursuing a crush—she's trying to fix something she believes she got wrong before.
I keep coming back to one image: Sanxiu's medicine box. It's carried through streets and alleys by those thin shoulders. It's the symbol of everything she chose and everything Lin Jinyao couldn't choose. But here's what I think the author is really saying about it—medicine as compassion made physical. Sanxiu becomes a deity not through cultivation or tribulation or heavenly appointment, but through compassion. The text is explicit about this: "She underwent no arduous cultivation, no tribulations, no ascension. She received no appointment from the celestial court, nor did she ever set foot on the exalted nine heavens. Yet in the end, she became a being revered even by all the gods of heaven." That's the whole thesis in one paragraph. The medicine box is the tool, but compassion is the practice. And Lin Jinyao—she grew up surrounded by medicinal herbs and medical texts, she memorized the classics, she had every advantage—but she couldn't break free from the world's prejudice against female healers. So she yielded. She chose peace over purpose. The tragedy isn't that she lacked ability, it's that she lacked the permission to believe she deserved it. Meanwhile, Sanxiu, the orphan, the girl whose sisters were sold, the girl who nearly died herself—she just kept walking. The medicine box gets heavier the more you think about it. It's not just herbs and remedies. It's responsibility. It's the weight of choosing to care in a world that doesn't care about you.
Just a Shameless Author here Giving his own story a good Review ?
Hello everyone! Honestly I don't write basic reviews but I have to, I love this book, I love the basic concept of being transported to another world that shows the future of your own world, it sounds like I'm talking nonsense but it makes perfect sense when you think about it, so go for it scoundrel
nice story but i have a question Y not add more suspense?
i love these kinds of stories and and the backstory of the mc is amazing
I don't want to be a dickhead so I will give 4 stars, but genuinely i don't want to give that much but it's your first novel so i gave that much to motivate you here are some of my suggestions 1- Improve the synopsis, it's bad I mean really bad, at first after reading the synopsis I don't feel any attraction or interest to go and read2) Some things are confusing in Chapters you should mention thoughts and speak aloud abbreviations 3) And some mistakes like in the first chapter you didn't mention what race did the goddess suggest, If it's a mystery you should mention it that is, I hope you can take this positively
Highly recommend ! Nice story ! I do believe in reincarnation as well. And for those who loves stories especially with death after life, this is really recommendable.
The number of chapters is low for now but even then I can say that the novel has a lot of potential. The story flows smoothly and there is no major error in grammar and vocabulary. Adding this to my library since I am looking forward to future developments. Keep it up author!
I don’t recommend reading this novel. Although it started out well, it started going downhill as it contradicts his supposedly high IQ and calculated personality
Hope you like this novel, and in case there are any errors, don't shy away from pointing them out. Wish you a happy reading.
this book is still great but im hoping to see more of musa and his passe in the further future, but i like the plot is not simple and is unique
