No real overarching plot just a repeat new area new girls every ~300 chapters. Nshba has a big focus on cultivation whereas this story cultivation is unimportant and everything happens offscreen.
My favorite two web novels are versatile mage and shadow slave. Anyone have any recommendations on what I should read next? I'm trying to get into lotm (on like ch55) but it's not really clicking for me :/
Chinese webnovels with female leads often feature assertive male leads. However, the male lead in this webnovel is the most domineering I've encountered. What makes it worse is how weak the female protagonist's character is compared to others in similar webnovels (she seems to enjoy his forcefulness). At least, in other stories, even if the female protagonists are physically weak, they have strong personalities that won't let the male lead dominate them without repercussions. This story essentially tells us that the female protagonist likes it when the male lead is forceful.
