I have to admit something—I started reading this at 10 PM and it's now 2 AM and I'm writing this note instead of sleeping. The pacing is absolutely ruthless in the best way. The chapter opens with Wen Chuxia already in the middle of the confrontation. No slow buildup, no exposition dump. We're dropped into a scene where a girl is being slapped by her brother and she's secretly pressing pressure points while threatening him. In the first paragraph, I already know: this is not your average rebirth story. This protagonist is dangerous. Then the author pulls back and gives us Wen Yuyan's perspective, and suddenly we're getting the full picture of the double-rebirth setup. The structure here is clever because it alternates between external action (the family fight) and internal revelation (what each reborn character remembers from their past life). This creates a kind of dramatic irony where we know things the characters don't, and that knowledge makes every line of dialogue hit harder. The pacing accelerates when Huo Tieniu arrives. Up until that point, the scene is a slow burn of family betrayal—each family member one-upping the last in how cruel they can be. Then the Huo father's entrance is like a lightning strike. Everything shifts. The Wen family suddenly has to perform, to play their roles, and Wen Yuyan's carefully constructed plan starts unraveling in real time. The chapter ends on this note: "Huo Tieniu helped Liu Cuihua into the passenger seat, while Huo..." and then it cuts. I need to know what happens next. The cliffhanger isn't dramatic or shocking—it's just the natural continuation of a scene that's building momentum. That's skilled pacing. The author trusts the reader to want more without needing to add a big dramatic flourish.
I'm still not over the roast chicken. It keeps showing up at the most important moments and I think it's doing heavy emotional lifting without anyone noticing. First time Jiang Wanwan sees Shen Sanqian, he's offering her milk candy and she's terrified. She runs. Then later, after their deal, he shows up at her door with another roasted chicken — this time he actually walks into her courtyard. The contrast between those two moments is everything. She went from running away from him to pulling him inside and pouring him water. That's a whole character arc in three sentences. But the moment that actually wrecked me was her dream sequence. She falls asleep thinking about him and dreams she's an overbearing CEO saying "You, and your roast chicken, have successfully captured my attention!" I literally screamed. This girl is so stressed about being sent to the countryside that her subconscious is turning Shen Sanqian into a romance novel trope. The roast chicken is basically her id at this point — it represents comfort, warmth, safety, all the things she's not getting from her mother Jiang Lan who just wants to ship her off to the countryside. And then there's the whole thing with her family. The scene where she hears Xu Weishan's hearty laugh and the smell of roast chicken wafting into her room while her mother is actively trying to get rid of her? That's the emotional core of the entire passage. She's surrounded by a family that doesn't want her, eating leftovers, and the one person who shows her kindness is the guy everyone warns her about. Of course she's drawn to him. Of course she's thinking about him before she falls asleep. The tension between them is so understated too. They've basically just made a business deal and already there's this weird intimacy — she's pouring him water, he's calling her Comrade Jiang, she's asking him if he hits people like it's a normal first-date question. Normal? NORMAL? Who asks their potential boyfriend if he's violent on the first meeting? Jiang Wanwan, that's who.

This review is based of chapter 32 so things might change later on if author keeps updating. (Novels like these come and dropped so frequently anyway)So this is an isekai story and focuses on harem as the main premise. MC is a harem seeker protagonist so if any of that is off pudding for you then leave. Mc isekaid as he died due to a mistake from a witch who casually kaboomed endless realities and mc's universe was one of them. yadayada. no god giving him special perks but a witch. MC start as baby and is now a 5 year old. so this clearly does take inspiration from Mushoku with the start of child mc. i think he will stay a child for a long while.He has no official wife or lover but has 5 love interests who are all super powerful beings and mc is basically trash in comparison. so expect slow progression with that. Mc's cheat with systems are very unique, its like that super harem god system as in the amount of love routes he clears, he gets more abilities and so. His special abilities are something i have never seen before being used properly. i wont spoil it but you will be pleasently surprise with the perks he gets.This doesnt have those generic level 1 to 9999-- system level up stuff at all so dont expect some linear progression. Background lore of the world does seem pointless for the most part because mc really only cares about his making a big af harem and become a warlock and reach the main world where the Witch exist. (I did left out a lot of stuff which includes how busted the Universe seems to be even without try harding at all)Overall a casual harem novel which has a bait af title coz lets be real most of us who clicked this novel prob expected something else.
