Okay so let me just say — the plot twist here is absolutely delicious. The whole setup where Luo Fu gets chosen for the palace but then gets swapped out for Luo Zhen? That's not just a twist, that's a full-on narrative earthquake. And what's genius about it is how the author layers it. First we see Luo Zhen's schadenfreude when she says "Congratulations, Second Sister. What a blessing to be chosen so quickly" — that smile carrying just enough malice to make you uncomfortable. Then the whole dowry confrontation scene plays out like a chess match, with Madam Cui trying to shortchange the Old Madam and Luo Fu casually dismantling her with a few well-placed words about jewelry valuation. The plot doesn't just move forward here, it spirals. Every character's true nature gets exposed: Madam Cui's greed, the Old Madam's quiet dignity, Luo Fu's sharpness beneath her gentle exterior. And then the departure scene — that procession described as stretching "so far down the street that it vanished from view" — it's visually stunning and emotionally devastating all at once. Pei Ji watching from the crowd, still holding that sword tassel. The plot is basically setting up a powder keg and we all know it's going to explode. Luo Fu entering the palace, Luo Zhen marrying Pei Ji, Shen Zhirou scheming in the background... this story is about to get so much worse before it gets better.
I need to just... sit with this for a moment. The relationship between Wei Chengyi and Shen Lingyi is the emotional CORE of this entire story and the author is playing with it like a master violinist. Remember when Wei Chengyi brings her red bean soup? He's this grown general now, but the moment he sees her, he's still that ten-year-old boy who looked at her like she was the only star in his sky. And Shen Lingyi—she notices his bloodshot eyes, she fusses over him, she's been preparing his bath water before he even gets home. The domesticity of it all is so tender it makes my chest ache. But then there's the tension. Oh god the tension. When she walks in on him half-naked and flees like her life depends on it? And he watches her go, thinking about how her arms look like "plump radishes"? I SCREAMED. The author is deliberately building this romantic undertow between two people who are technically brother and sister-in-law, and it's so beautifully complicated. Shen Lingyi's internal conflict is killing me. She remembers Wei Heng's desperate plea: "I beg you... take Er-lang and live on." She chose to save the child over her husband. Every day since then, she's been living with that choice. And now Wei Chengyi is growing up, becoming handsome, becoming powerful—and she's panicking because the lines between them are blurring. The scene where he calls her "Sister-in-law" so formally and she tells him not to be so formal? That's not just dialogue—that's two people desperately trying to maintain boundaries that are already crumbling. And the bath scene? The steam, the screen, the proximity—it's charged with everything they can't say out loud. I'm not okay.
I like the dynamics of the first chapter it’s a nice start just I feeling the prose and writing seems a bit bland and lack’s imagery. To should have on the pride to feel natural in the story and he will be good
No harem, no harem plz no harem. It ruins the story and will make yours ordinary as many others on this site. I hope you don't drop and don't fk this story up with harem.
I'm hooked? This story has sucked me in, and I'm craving more. The writing is incredible, and I'm invested in the characters. Please keep going .I need to know what happens next?

Guys currently my exams are going on so i ki8nda can’t focus but i will be taking your suggestions
How could I not be interested in reading this? I really like one thing that stands out the most about this book, and yes, that is the cover of this book, my gosh, it is really great. And I was fascinated by the way you presented the city of the future, it was really moving, even though it was a bit lacking in detail, maybe I can give you some suggestions, which are definitely there. There is definitely a plot or some that goes too far back, actually this is not a problem, it makes it more interesting, but because this is brought up continuously, it actually seems confusing. But this is just my suggestion, if you feel comfortable with it, go ahead. Keep fighting my author!!!!
