The dialogue in this chapter is absolutely lethal. I need to highlight how each character has a completely distinct voice, and how the author uses conversation as combat. Xie Zhe's voice is all controlled irritation—"What is he playing at?" and "This official does not dislike him." He's always performing composure, always one step away from losing it. His dialogue is clipped, defensive, occasionally petulant. When he says "Let him in" after wrestling with himself, it's the sound of someone who has already lost but refuses to admit it. Jiang Huaichu's voice is smooth, layered, deliberately ambiguous. "Caiqing prefers his"—said while looking at Xie Zhe, meaning he prefers Xiao Yun's chess style, but also maybe meaning something else entirely. His line about people being attracted to opposites is the kind of dialogue that works on three levels simultaneously. And then there's the gatekeeper, who delivers Jiang Huaichu's messages with this perfect blend of professional stiffness and barely-contained amusement. The chess commentary is where the dialogue really shines. Jiang Huaichu describing Xie Zhe's playing style—"steady yet dynamic, flexible and varied, using softness to overcome strength"—while Xiao Yun is literally behind the curtain? That's not just dialogue; that's character assassination through metaphor. Xie Zhe doesn't even realize he's being described until it's too late.
There's this one moment that I keep thinking about. Chen Xi drives the RV into her parents' room, uses her mind power to search out all their hidden assets, takes everything including the bedding, and leaves them with literally nothing. Not even a bed to sleep on. And then she does the same to her brothers' room, her own room, the living room, the kitchen. By the time she's done, the Chen family house is completely stripped bare. The image of that empty living room with the family sitting in it, confused and panicked, is so vivid. You can picture it like a movie scene. The author doesn't need fancy descriptions because the situation itself is so dramatically visual. An entire household emptied out overnight, down to the bottle caps in the kitchen. And the space itself is fascinating. It starts as just an RV, then expands to include farmland with black soil, then a two-story building from the 1970s-80s era. The fact that Chen Xi can physically walk out of the RV into this space is such a cool detail. It feels like a world within a world, and the author is slowly revealing its capabilities piece by piece rather than dumping it all at once. That's good worldbuilding discipline.
Okay so this whole setup is genuinely brilliant and I need to talk about it. Chi Anyu is basically trapped in a novel as cannon fodder, and the system keeps forcing him into plot points that are supposed to make him the villain. But here's the thing—he's not actually a bad person, and watching him try to navigate this while secretly being a decent human is the best part of the story. The plot twist that hit me hardest was when Father Chi cut off Chi Anyu's card. On the surface it's just a rich kid drama moment, but it's actually a masterclass in cause and effect. Chi Anyu acts out, gets punished, then has to swallow his pride and negotiate. And when he walks into his father's study and says "unfreeze my card first" while propping his legs on the desk? That's not just acting. The narrative explicitly tells us "sometimes, even he can't tell what's real and what's just acting." That line wrecked me a little. The pacing is also wild. One chapter he's choking Bai Jin, the next he's eating cold pasta at 3 AM, and then suddenly we're at a bar scene where Xie Junyi abandons an entire business meeting just to rush over because his card got declined. The plot doesn't waste a single beat. Every scene pushes either the main storyline forward or deepens the relationship between these two guys. And Butler Ling? The man is a plot device disguised as comic relief. He's clearly protecting Chi Anyu while pretending to side with Xie Junyi, and that double-agent energy is so much fun. "Whose butler are you anyway?" Xie Junyi literally says this out loud. The author is having a blast with this character and it shows. My only complaint? I need to know what happens when the male lead actually appears. System 07 doesn't even know who it is. That's either really funny or really ominous, and I'm not sure which.
This is not a bad story; I find it creative. However, the writing and language could be better, possibly because the author had difficulty writing in English. But overall, it’s not bad at all.
Oh, shit! Nowhere is it stated that there is a system, this is another novel about a nonentity who needs a system, otherwise he will die. Garbage!
Hey there!Good day for writing! If you wanted to see whether you can get paid by distributing the current work or getting financial support by writing new work, you might want to contact [email protected]. A brief introduction, some sample chapters or links will be appreciated when reaching out.
really enjoyed this! It’s fun to read, The story has great potential and will likely attract more readers soon. With consistent updates, it’s bound to do really well!and I’m eagerly waiting for more chapters. Keep it up, Author! ??
I loved the story, the characters are fun, there's a lot to absorb, and I can't wait for more to be released thank you for the amazing work ?
Let me just start by saying, author, that you are the manifestation of my wish for more original quick transmigration novels. Seriously. Finding this book was like finding out one's a secret chaebol while on the brink of bankruptcy. Bonus point that this story met all my expectations and more... WAY more.Writing quality? Chef's kiss. It's commendable how some similar scenes are described differently to prevent repetition, especially the spicy scenes. Cough cough. I admit I've been converted to the void (╥﹏╥) Although I'm not a fan of the excessive and occasionally awkward usage of emphasis using bold or italics, it could also be a personal preference issue, so I wouldn't dock stars for the author's writing style. One of my favourite aspects of this story is FL (she who shall not be named) has a very distinctive voice, yet when she acts in character with the character she possesses, her personality isn't discordant and is instead combined seamlessly, creating an appealing individual that makes it unsurprising why the male leads (and readers) find her likeable. The side characters so far have been familiar stereotypes at first glance, but that's just a trap—read further and you'll uncover their many faucets and emotional developmenta which explain their motives. A.K.A THREE DIMENSIONAL CHARACTERS, CHEERS! Speaking of which, will FL get her own character development/gain valuable life lessons after experiencing enough lifetimes?Finished the two available arcs so far, and both have rushed endings imo, but again, different authors have different ways of writing QT. The ones I usually read don't end arcs right after the climax and include side povs of what happens after FL leaves the mission world, so I'm a slow-paced reader XD. At least in this one, the endings are logical and believable. Side note: would be interesting to read more on the side male character/og ml's pov since so far we mostly get the jealous, crazy og fl's pov, and the og ml doesn't feel fleshed out enough. The updating schedule is very stable and judging by the author's completed, 100+ chapter past works, I am entrusting my best wishes to you to keep this quality work going?Lastly, I LOVE the well-timed comedy, be it FL's inner monologue or her bantering with Bunny. The latest chapter introducing the system shop had me in stiches ??? NEED to see more of it in the future. If anybody is looking for a well-written and fun story about a niche genre, read this right now—you won't regret it!
definitely one of the best novels i have read. keep it up broo
i like the story. it seems like the author really likes it when the fl is very murder happy and the MC is pretty dumb, and I honestly don't mind it. i like how the fl is also a yandere (at least that's how i see it), but I'm not really interested in the other story part that doesn't revolve around the MC, but I still don't really mind. Free my boy Rufus though, he doesn't deserve this
Hello great author, I'm a huge fan of your work! Your book left a lasting impression on me, and I believe it has the potential to reach even more readers. I'd be honored to share some thoughts on how to enhance its impact and visibility. Would you be open to hearing my thoughts?
