The dialogue in this batch is genuinely excellent and I want to highlight why. Su Xiaoyin has this sharp, playful voice that is completely distinct from Yuan Songzhi's more measured, sometimes flustered responses. When she says things like 'I didn't expect Comrade Yuan to be so shy' and then trails off with 'mm,' you can hear the teasing in her voice. And his response—covering her mouth, withdrawing his hand, forcing himself to appear calm—tells you everything without him having to say a word. The author understands that dialogue is not just about what characters say, it is about what they cannot say. Yuan Songzhi's line 'It counts as the deposit for you treating my leg' is perfect because it is his way of framing a deeply romantic gesture as a practical transaction. He cannot just say 'I prepared all this because I care about you,' so he wraps it in the language of debt and repayment. And Su Xiaoyin sees right through it—she knows exactly what he is doing, which is why she smiles and says 'You can rest assured, it will definitely get better.' She is acknowledging his gesture while also promising future intimacy (the massage). The Lin Tianyang scenes work differently—the dialogue there is all performance. Cui Ling speaks loudly so the whole compound can hear, turning a private rejection into public spectacle. Lin Tianyang's forced smile and polite exit ('Since Tingting is not here, I will come again another time') is dialogue as damage control. He is performing composure while internally crumbling. The contrast between Su Xiaoyin's genuine banter and Lin Tianyang's hollow politeness is the author's way of showing which relationship has real emotional currency.
Can we just talk about Qian Wenyuan for a second because THIS MAN is the worst and I love that the author didn't make him even slightly sympathetic. He walks in and immediately starts coaxing her like she's some difficult child who needs patience. "Don't make trouble, okay?" Okay so you brought her to an ILLEGAL CLINIC to abort a baby that belongs to her MILITARY HUSBAND and you're worried about making trouble? The audacity is genuinely impressive. And that moment when he says "have you changed your mind? Do you really want to keep that bastard child?" — Xu Nian's response is absolutely chef's kiss. "Interfering in a military marriage is a criminal offense. How dare you call this child a bastard?" She just dismantled his entire position in one sentence. I literally gasped. But what's interesting is the contrast between how he presents himself and what he actually is. The narration tells us he's "the most talented and most handsome" of the educated youths, fair-skinned, refined. A cultured gentleman on the surface. But Xu Nian knows the truth: "Behind that gentle exterior was nothing more than a sanctimonious hypocrite." The author is setting up this guy as a villain who hides behind respectability, and that's always the most dangerous kind. Then there's the family dynamic. The original Xu Nian was spoiled rotten—parents and three brothers doted on her, even the sisters-in-law were influenced to spoil her. But when Xu Nian calls out from the alley and her eldest brother comes running, there's this instant warmth that cuts through all the tension. It's clear this family genuinely loves her, and that's going to be such a rich well of emotional moments. I also want to mention how the original Xu Nian's choices reveal her character. She drugged a man she liked, got pregnant, then immediately cheated because she couldn't handle loneliness? That's not a villain—that's someone deeply flawed and impulsive. And now our protagonist, a serious medical researcher, has to deal with the consequences of those choices. The irony is delicious.
The pacing in these chapters is actually really clever when you look at it closely. The author sets up a slow-burn emotional scene between Pei Jing and Mu Yunwei—lots of dialogue, hesitation, internal conflict, the whole nine yards. You're sitting there thinking, okay, this is going to be a tender moment, maybe even a sweet one. And then—cut to the theater. Shen Ruojin dropping money like it's nothing, buying an entire troupe, having this flirtatious exchange with Qin Lang. Why does this cutaway matter? Because it completely reframes everything we just read. Mu Yunwei and Pei Jing think they've won. They think the story is moving in their direction. But Shen Ruojin is over here living her best life, spending the prince's money, making him blush, and she hasn't even noticed that her rival just secured a husband. The author is playing with dramatic irony like a master—making the reader feel superior to the characters while simultaneously building tension. And the chapter structure itself follows this push-pull rhythm. Mu Yunwei retreats to advance. Pei Jing hesitates then commits. Shen Ruojin appears carefree but is actually making a permanent choice by attaching herself to the Prince's household. Each beat lands at just the right moment, and the transition between the two scenes creates this delicious sense of impending collision. I stayed up way too late reading this batch and I have no regrets.
Okay, I need to just sit with this for a second. Jiang Mei and Pei Jingchuan's history is absolutely devastating, and I am not okay. The reveal that she spent three years with him—only him, of all people—while pretending to be madly in love so he'd buy her freedom? That's not just manipulation, that's survival. And then she disappears and marries someone else. The cruelty of it cuts both ways. She used his feelings as a tool, sure, but she also genuinely believed he saw her as a plaything. When she overheard him say 'She's just a courtesan, not someone who can be shown in public,' that must have shattered something in her. Not because she wanted to be his lady, but because she wanted to be *seen* as human. And now? Now he's the one holding all the cards again. 'So, back then, you swindled my money just to support such a worthless man?' That line hit me like a physical blow. He remembers everything. Every sweet word, every performance, every lie. And he's not letting her forget it either. But Zhou Hongyuan—oh god, Zhou Hongyuan. He stood in the freezing cold outside their shop, afraid she wouldn't be there when he opened the door. 'I would have risked my life to seek justice for you!' He doesn't know what she went through. He doesn't know about the bite marks on her neck or the contraceptive medicine Zhou Lan handed her like it was nothing. And yet, he's the one she chose. The one she married. The one she's protecting even as she walks back into Pei Jingchuan's bed. The tragedy isn't just that she's trapped. It's that she might actually love Zhou Hongyuan now, and that makes everything infinitely more complicated.
Woww...a fantasy of two aliens meeting on earth as human and fae. Its very creative to being with, and the fact that Author had made it deep and detailed with just few words of description is marvellous. Story is funny, dramatic, and give wholesome vibe. Our main leads are adorable. Definitely worth reading! Happy writing Author!
As of now where I'm currently at (chapter 10) I have found the story enjoyable, it was off to a great start and has continued to be great so far, keep it up author.
Im writing this at chapter 20, so far Adam is a very complex character. The story has escalated into something BIG. Also a lot of different types of action scenes make it very exciting. and I have to say the three other Gods are a happy addition, Hikari is the best so far.
The new book is here!! After waiting for so long, my sister finally uploaded it! (,,> ᴗ <,,)Friends who like apocalyptic stories, you must try this book! I say this not because I am this author's sister, but because I have read every chapter available in her stockpile. (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)As we all know, the author has a very strong ability to write about romance, feelings, and character growth. With this as the main course, coupled with her newly acquired writing skills for battle scenes, scheming, and multiple plotlines, you can expect a fun and exciting story! ٩(ˊᗜˋ )وGive this story a try and you might be surprised to find a gem! First of all, I have to say that I thought the story was going to be good, but it feels great to see a work of this caliber. Please note that I am doing this novel review after 20 chapters. When blacksmithing is involved in any story, the story can already hook me and finding a story like this is enough to elevate the novel outline. The main character managed to attract me because he was quite interesting. Personally, I like to read about main characters with outstanding and incredibly evil personalities, so it is a good thing in my eyes to love such a main character.I can't say much about World Building, personally, I can't say much about it as I think it will unfold like tree branches as it progresses, after all, as I said, after reading only 20 chapters, I thought this story deserved a review.I couldn't help but smile, especially when I saw the message of Edward, the NPC we saw at the beginning, I hope we will be able to see more of him because the author gave him an interesting task and had him complete it in his first appearance. So, all things considered, it would be completely ridiculous not to give this novel 5 stars. Of course, this is my opinion.
요즘 사람듵은 자극적이고 선정적인 글을 선호하는 편인데 그런 것에 연연하지 않고 자신의 색깔이 뚜렷하고 질 높은 수준의 글이어서높이 평가합니다.
An interesting idea, although it is almost completely removed from the shadow slave, but I will not condemn it. The only thing is a lot of awards to the hero.
Interesting plot with a very engaging action I love this kudos author
