I need to talk about Lu Tingyan because this man is a PARADOX wrapped in a scowl wrapped in expensive fabric. On one hand, he literally tells Xie Ning "the sight of me disgusted you" earlier in the day. On the other hand, he FOLLOWS her to a nightclub, drags her into a corridor, pins her against a wall, and then carries her to a hotel room like some kind of furious fairy tale prince. And the worst part? He doesn't even understand WHY he's so angry. The text literally says: "Lu Tingyan himself didn't understand why he was so enraged." That's the most telling line in the entire chapter. He thinks it's about betrayal. He thinks it's about her giving him a "green hat." But really? Really? He's jealous. He saw another man helping her, supporting her, being KIND to her, and something in him snapped. Meanwhile Xie Ning is over here being the most competent person in the room. She's dealing with her drunk best friend's alcohol allergy, she's standing up to a man who could literally have her arrested, and she's doing it all while wearing a dress SHE ALTERED HERSELF. She's not some damsel. She's a woman who got stood up at her own wedding and is still handling business. Their dynamic is basically: he wants to punish her, but every time he tries, he ends up taking care of her instead. He gets her clothes. He arranges for someone to watch her friend. He threatens her but also protects her from the paparazzi. This man is fighting a losing battle against his own feelings and he doesn't even know it yet.
Okay so I need to talk about this revenge plot because it is SO satisfying. Ye Qinglan doesn't just get revenge—she methodically dismantles her entire family's power over her, and the way she does it is genuinely clever. First she sells her job for 1,000 yuan (which is a LOT of money in this era), then she steals every single yuan they had hidden in the walls, under the beds, inside the sewing machine—3,238.5 yuan from her father alone. She even stages a break-in to make it look like an outside job. The detail where she puts sleeping pills in the thermos and then drinks some herself so no one suspects her is... honestly kind of chilling. But the best part? The severance agreement scene. When her father demands the money and she just calmly pulls out paper and pen and says let's write a severance agreement—she doesn't even raise her voice. And then the anonymous letters reporting the affair? That's the masterstroke. Two years of buildup and she completely destroys them. And then the meta twist at the end where she realizes she's IN a novel and Ye Bailian is the female lead? That changes EVERYTHING. It means the plot armor Ye Bailian was relying on doesn't work on Ye Qinglan. I'm already obsessed with where this goes.
As far as i’ve read, this is really good! The writing is neat and super easy to understand, highly recommended!
The premise is interesting! Maybe adding more world-building details could make it even better."Loving the characters so far! Hoping to see some deep development as the story progresses
This is good! I haven’t read much CEO trope but I can’t wait for the next chapters!
BEHOLD WANDERER! ANOTHER SHAMELESS AUTHOR WRITING A REVIEW ON THEIR OWN STORY! But besides that, I am here to say, whoever decides to come to this review sections and grant with a review. Good or Bad. I thank you for your time and honest opinion. HAVE SAFE TRAVELS WANDERER!
This is absolutely sensational and at some times put a few tears in my eyes and I defintley recommend this can see it as up and coming
I can only hope for more chapters... sigh~ this shit is too good....
Damn, It's really good. I mean it. I think the writing quality is good and has good pacing. Currently, I am only at chapter 4, And to tell you the truths, it is really engaging. The engaging part being the main premise, The talking to the spirits thing, I really like it, really do.Though, I haven't actually read much yet.pointers---Writing quality: Better than most other novel I read this year, Do mind, I have read a lot. It's really well written."We are Authors, But also a bunch of miserable wrenches who are constantly fighting against, grammar and Punctuation's" - is what I say.Story-line: Maybe not the best, but is good. enjoyed the family moments and the few shocks the author-san managed to convey. But, I think, I probably, have read other stuffs like this too. Meaning, there are lot of same stories out there, so it probably doesn't have the "why its special and you should read it" thing to it. though, I haven't read much yet, maybe it gets better, I'll let author-san cook. cook hard!Character: the mc. He is interesting, that is all I have to say, Haven't got much content on him yet. the family(damn, he has lots) they are i guess, normal, nothing to add there...overall, good read, will read more in the future, do recommend others and keep up the good work author-san. P.S. I like how they sometimes use Japaneses words in the dialogues. They cute. how? I donno either, but they are.
i always think when i hear "i will protect the people i care about" in novels, animes, etc..as long as there is no people you care about except yourself by protdcting yourself doesn't that mean you protcted the people you care about(yourself)seriously why bother caring about so many people and protecting them everyone is a human that know how to take care of themselves if they couldn't protect themselves it's their fault why task yourself with protecting then
Add one more letter to the protagonist's name and you have the worldwide handsome man right there
Great writing. Thoughts were good a realistic too. It really happens to people in real life a lot of time
