Eleven o'clock at night, an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. Rust-stained door. Dim yellow streetlamp a hundred meters away casting a long shadow. Wind whistling through broken windows, producing a mournful sound, like someone weeping. I need the author to write a screenplay because this reads like a film script and I am here for it. Let me just—let me just walk through the visual language of this section because it deserves analysis. The courtroom is all sharp lines and harsh lighting: Li Jianguo's face darkening, the lawyer presenting documents, the gavel strikes. It's cold, institutional, fluorescent. But the warehouse? The warehouse is alive. The wind, the shadows, the rust, the single streetlamp creating that pool of yellow light in an ocean of darkness. Wang Fang emerging from shadows in a black hoodie, mask covering her face, only her eyes visible—glistening with moisture in the night. This is a scene that could play in complete silence and you'd still feel everything. And then the contrast: Lin Wanwan in her studio at 8 AM, sunlight streaming through the window, sitting calm and resolute while Su Man stares at the USB drive's contents. Warm light replacing the cold warehouse darkness. It's like the story itself is moving from shadow into light. The livestream scene is minimalist—white wall, glass of water, five million viewers flooding in. The comments scrolling impossibly fast, then slowing as everyone waits. Five million people holding their breath through a screen. That image—of a digital crowd going silent in unison—is something I will not forget. Even the taxi ride at midnight has atmosphere: streetlights passing one after another, casting flickering light on Lin Wanwan's face as she stares at the USB drive. Small, light, but feeling as heavy as a stone. The author understands that atmosphere isn't just description—it's emotional weather.
Okay, I need to talk about the Lady Xuanwu reveal because my jaw literally hit the floor. The author sets this up SO well—Pei Nai goes to the performance with a purpose, the drums build, the red ribbons fall, and then this woman descends from the ceiling and BAM. She looks eighty percent like Pei Nai herself. That's not just a coincidence, that's a narrative sledgehammer. The parallel is almost too on-the-nose: Pei Nai's soul entered another body, and now someone else seems to have entered hers, performing the life she once had. And the worst part? Gu Jinheng is out there giving all that affection to this replacement. The plot twist here isn't just that Lady Xuanwu exists—it's what she represents. Pei Nai is watching her own erased life played out by a stranger, and the reader is left screaming internally. Then the author hits us with the memory fragments—soldiers dropping weapons, the moon, the voice asking "Did he ever say he loved you?"—and suddenly the plot isn't just about identity theft, it's about a past Pei Nai can't remember but her body clearly lived. Who is this woman on stage, and what did Pei Nai lose when she woke up in Tang Mingzhi's body? I'm not okay.
A relatively standard novel, with decent English and some grammatical errors. The characters feel one-dimensional,. For example, the test examiner is just “hate”, with no apparent depth beyond that. The world building is very lackluster, about it we only know about the tests, and that is it, though that could be due to the early stage of the novel. The test itself, in fact, is completely detached from realism, with contradicting motives of its organisers and the random selections of only 5000 people/year, has the author forgotten there are over 8 billion humans on earth?
This book by far has the best start I've seen
Overall Everything is Good for now that is at least for me I do hope author read this comment as I want to say is that please do make mc use all his abilities in a useful way because currently he is too OP literally like final boss so rather then going around like some protagonists for finding opportunities to grow in power he should sit in high place and do the manipulating the final boss or villain does . There are lot of ways he can message with protagonists that appears like creating systems for specially that hates those protagonists like 2nd or 3rd rate villain give them opportunities so that they fight protagonists something like that and upgrade his family background to top level and they only listen to him as he keeps his eyes around his maids so that they get opportunity and get stronger and of some hidden people try to something to his plans he would kill them from behind and he can even create clone or something overall I want to say is if he is always in spotlight and people will keep coming to him for messing with him because they don't know his powers at that point it will literally become "slice of life" type story like where mc keep on face slapping while people keep on coming to him as we all know face slapping where mc literally gets into fight with anyone even beggar what I want to say is As mc here is op and like final boss so he should behave like one not go around the world and look for secret realms like protagonists does in typical storyline so they can get stronger.....Well this is just from my prospective hope author you do some think on wether my suggestion is right or wrong it's completely up to you to take it after if in later the novel transform into face slapping novel then I would have no choice but to drop it because I am too tired of slice of life or face slapping novels lately
This novel is BS nglI expected more not the same thing we see on webnovel everytimeMC is op but doesn’t have any sense at allInstead of him to travel around multiverseCreate worlds or new races,do something new he first decided to take revengeI’m really disappointed
It's my first 18+ novel, and I'm really liking it✌️
It's a well written novel and the characters are interesting and demonstrate distinct personalities, they are not like robots. The premise of a newborn leaves you wanting more and more and the expectation of evolution keeps us hooked every second. I highly recommend this novel.
cukup bagus, rating 8-10,aku cukup merekomendasikannya, ke orang orang yang suka genre sistem
