Okay so let me just say this out loud because I need everyone to hear it: Gu Yizhi walking behind An Ruoyan and Deng Xiuli with his ears burning red? That is the most honest physical reaction in literature. The man cannot even process his own feelings and the author just drops it like a gift. "I'm free... and I was worried about you too." — he says this like it's nothing, but it's basically a confession wrapped in three words. And An Ruoyan's reaction? She freezes, blushes, stammers "Um... um, then... stay." She's not ready and she knows it, and I am SCREAMING. Meanwhile Zhou Shuchen is out here doing the soul-calling thing like some kind of rural exorcist. "Jiao-jiao~ Jiao-jiao~" running all the way back while older women watch like this is the most normal thing ever. The contrast between these two male leads is everything. One is quietly devoted and physically present; the other is loud, performative, and completely blind to the fact that Shi Meijiao is using him as a free servant. And Deng Xiuli? Best friend energy personified. She's the wingwoman who accidentally outshouts herself and then gets scared when Zhou Shuchen glares at her. The found-family vibe between these four is what keeps me coming back. The romantic tension is there, sure, but it's the friendship that makes it feel real.
I need to talk about how the author uses space and setting to tell the story here, because it's actually really clever. Yunzhu Yuan isn't just a backdrop - it becomes this pressure cooker where all the tensions play out. You've got the inner chamber where Li Lianniang is giving birth and then suffering what appears to be severe bleeding, the outer room where Zhao Xian paces restlessly, and then the whole household reacting to the crisis. The scene with the physicians is one of my favorites. You've got this old physician from Jin'an who's been summoned because the imperial physician wasn't available, and he's writing out a prescription with a brush, blowing on it to dry the ink. The midwife Old Mother Wang who's known for keeping her mouth shut - "She had seen plenty of happenings in the inner courtyards. The reason she had been able to work as a midwife for so many years and maintain her reputation was largely due to her discretion." That's worldbuilding in one sentence. You immediately understand the politics and dangers of this household. Then there's the visual of Li Lianniang in bed - "wore a fox fur headband with a large red gemstone in the center. Already weakened from the loss of blood and energy, the red gemstone made her complexion appear even more pallid." The author keeps coming back to this image of her looking increasingly frail, which is heartbreaking because we know what's coming in the original plot. The detail about the Muxiang Fenqi Pill that Zhao Xian learns about from Nanny He - "used to treat qi rebellion and chest and diaphragm stuffiness" - that's the kind of specific, grounded detail that makes the world feel alive. This isn't just a generic ancient Chinese setting, this is a household with real medical practices, real hierarchies, real consequences. And the ending image of Zhao Xian sitting by Li Lianniang's bedside, suppressing "the lingering dislike this body held for Li Lianniang" to comfort her - that's such a powerful visual of a woman literally fighting against her own body's instincts to do the right thing.
I swear I'm not just saying this because I wrote it, but this book is honestly amazing. The plot is full of surprises, and the endings are anything but predictable. So... um... please give it a read.

reviewing for the event fp. keep up the good work.
Hi, I’m AstralMonarch, the author of this book! If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments. Now, let’s go over a few things about the story. **1. What is this book about?** This story follows the journey of the **Entity**, a being born from a mysterious sea of blood in a world governed by the Astral Energy system. In this world, breaking past Level 25 is an immense challenge. To overcome this limit, civilizations wage endless wars, harvesting Astral Cores from fallen warriors and beasts to advance their power. **2. Who is the main lead?** The protagonist, known simply as the **Entity** in initial chapters, emerges from a mysterious cube within the mysterious sea of blood. He has no memories of his past or identity. As he explores the world, he gradually develops his character. Think of him as a newborn with preinstalled instincts and fragmented knowledge. **3. What makes the main lead unique?** The Entity is not human, he is a being entirely made of blood. He can reshape himself at will, create weapons from his own essence, and reinforce his body using Astral Energy. And that’s just the beginning. His abilities evolve as the story progresses, so read on to discover more! **4. Is there a harem?** No, this story does not include a harem. However, there will be romance in the future for sure. **5. Will the main character remain a monster?** No. The Entity’s past holds deep mysteries, and his journey will lead him toward becoming more and more human over time. **6. Update Schedule** Two chapters every day, each between 1600-1700 words. I hope you’ll give this book a chance. See you inside the story! ?
