I need to talk about how each character sounds here because WOW. The author has given every single person a voice so distinct that I could tell who was speaking without looking at the name tags. Liu Xiangqin's dialogue is all commands and deflections. "Hurry up and take care of it." "Can't you be a bit more sensible and take some responsibility?" She never asks a real question—everything is a demand wrapped in the language of concern. Even when she's trying to be gentle with Song Yao, it comes out as instruction. This is a woman who has never had a genuine conversation in her life, and it shows in every syllable. Song Yao is worse, obviously. Her lines are all performative softness: "Sister, please stop arguing with Mom." "I'll talk to her alone later." "Please make sure to take good care of Mom and Dad for me." Every sentence is a trap disguised as empathy. The green tea energy is so thick you could spread it on toast. But Ruan Zheng—oh, Ruan Zheng is where the dialogue really shines. Her lines are short, sharp, and devastating. "If you don't even care about my life or death, then you have no right to be my mother." "And if you're not my mother, you naturally have no right to demand anything from me." She doesn't raise her voice. She doesn't need to. Each sentence is a scalpel. And then there's the System, which provides this hilarious running commentary: "The System was shocked, the System screamed, the System completely failed to understand." It's such a tonal contrast to the heavy family drama that it became my favorite voice in the text. The author's narrative voice itself is worth noting—dry, observant, occasionally sardonic. Lines like "Unfortunately, before she could put on her act, Song Yao spoke first. Damn. A damn green tea bitch." This is the kind of narration that makes you feel like you're reading a friend's thoughts, not a novel.
I need to talk about this one moment because it haunts me. Xie Zhi is standing in front of Pei Du, delivering this whole performance about how she just wants a peaceful life, how she has no ambitions, how she'll serve faithfully for five years and then leave. She's kneeling there looking all delicate and sad, right? And then she sneezes. And Pei Du's Adam's apple bobs. Just once. He doesn't say anything about it. He just lets her go. What does that mean? I've re-read that scene like five times and I still can't decide if he's affected or if he's just annoyed by the noise. But the fact that the author even included that detail—his Adam's apple bobbing—tells me something is happening under the surface. This man who is described as cold, impassive, unreadable... he notices things about her. The way her sleeves flutter when she runs. The pink plum blossoms embroidered on her robes. He catches her leaving before he dismisses her and his expression darkens. These are tiny cracks in the armor and they're everything. And Xie Zhi's internal monologue is killing me too. On the outside she's playing the obedient, harmless maid. But inside she's thinking 'Of course I won't harass anyone else. Because now... my target is you.' She's been transparently lying to his face this whole time and he knows it, or at least suspects it, and yet he keeps engaging with her. There's this bizarre intimacy in their exchanges—she can talk back to him in ways no one else dares, and he lets her. It's not romance yet, not even close, but it's something. A current running beneath ice.
This book is for geniuses like me! The main character is far beyond the ordinary, crushing everyone with her strength and intelligence. It is incredibly satisfying to watch him rise.

But mc's uncle was plotting to kill the villainess and betray
all well and good except chapters repeating the same content. do far I have read 3 chapters back to back with the same content and it's getting a bit grating to see a good story becoming irritating for the authors need for word count or chapter update. disappointed!
It was okay I supposeThe mc cheats is all over the placeHe gains stats, no clue the f*ck it does. Like at 100+ chapter he is 14 years old and he should have at most 200k strengths but it don’t do muchAlways close battle…i mean yes it’s coolBut it would be nice to understand what those stats even means… his a body cultivator+sword+qi But most I read was he used sword to fight his pet bird and some fireball skills and eyes ability that lasted few secondsNerf…yes he is taking 3 different path But not counting his qi bc his spirit root should have grown by nowHis so low for his age14 year old…gaining qi and sword qi/int per daysShould have it at 5k+But againWhat the f*ck does that correspond to?Overall a solid 3.5/5More details to his ”cheat” would be ?
