"There are plenty of women in this world, but one whom I truly adore and want to sleep with is indeed rare to come by. I'm all about self-respect and morals, alright?" he said with a chuckle.
So what's wrong with taking the back streets?
Let me just say this first: the author has absolutely no rush. And thank god for that. Chapter 6 opens with Pei Mu washing clothes by a river at sunset. Just… washing clothes. No drama, no urgency. He walks through the village, kids scatter, Wang Ping'an invites him to dinner. It's mundane. It's deliberate. The author is building a world, not just a plot. Then Chapter 7 jumps to Zhong Yizhu's perspective and we get this whole sequence of him learning to live—picking mushrooms (poisonous ones, hilarious), going to the river, meeting Mingtao. The pacing here is like watching someone slowly unfurl. He's not in a hurry because he doesn't have to be anymore. The narrative rhythm matches his emotional state perfectly. The mountain scene where Pei Mu appears is a masterclass in restraint. Arrow whooshes, a rabbit drops into the basket, two berries traded for firewood, and then Pei Mu just… leaves. No explanation, no lingering. The author could have made this a dramatic reunion moment but chose silence instead. That silence speaks louder than any dialogue could. Chapter 8 slows it down even more with Sun Yun-niang and Zhong Yizhu sorting mushrooms, talking about marriage, planning a market trip. Domestic. Grounded. But underneath all that calm, you can feel the tension building—Wu family's schemes, Zhang Tieniu's obsession, the mother's worry about time running out. The author is letting the reader breathe while quietly tightening the screws. Some might call this slow. I call it confident. The story trusts you to care about people, not just events.

Especially with the aftermath of the third great war, there just wasn't many dwarves left anymore, they having suffered perhaps the heaviest casualty rate of any of the races.
Silvana could have easily overtaken the strange human earlier when he was traveling with the strange self-propelled contraption, but something made her hesitate. Why would this human need her to save him from a weak green skinned orc? It had truly appeared as though the human was frightened and would have been killed. She had waited and slowly approached this unusual being while hiding her true strength.
My dream is to win the world cup for the England Team in 2022 at Qatar or 2026 world cup.
