He's a genuine psychopath, and the level of vengeance is far more intense than in the original novel. Both the antagonist and his lover are despicable, but the MC is on a whole different level of evil.

Frankly, I'm not complaining. This is the first time I've come across a BL (boys' love) story with such a cold-hearted protagonist. Even the main character in "Quickly Wear Face of Devil" doesn't quite measure up to this level of ruthless determination.
