Female students receive priority in distribution—when quotas are tight, male applicants must compete based on evaluation rankings while female students receive scholarships as long as they meet the criteria. Xia Nanxing marketed the idea to Lu Huaijin as being because she loves him and cares about the path he walked, though her actual motivation was simply having money to spare. Three female students who received the scholarship were hired by Xia Corporation.
