The weapon used by Luo Chen to kill Liu Xi. It was a broken brush with frayed soft bristles from long use and constant exposure to inferior pine-soot ink. Luo Chen stabbed it into Liu Xi's heart from behind, then replaced Liu Xi's own brush. Ink residue hardened at the junction of bristles and shaft, matching the ink Luo Chen used.
