Current emperor of Dachen, former childhood tutor of Pei Yunshu. He ascended the throne at eighteen after the previous emperor's death and is now twenty-eight, a wise and powerful ruler. He felt truly at ease only when with Pei Yunshu. He left Yuehua as her companion and maintained a teacher-student relationship with her through letters and meetings. He is referred to as 'Teacher' by Pei Yunshu.
