A fugitive and wealthy patron who hired Ye Feishuang with a thick stack of banknotes (the first marked with five hundred taels). He hides in her cabin and falls ill with a high fever. In his delirium, he clings to Ye Feishuang, mistaking her for his elder sister, pleading not to be abandoned. He has a beautiful face and a faint scent of medicinal herbs. He eventually disappears from the bed, either having woken and left or been taken by someone else.
