A lame youth who lived alone at the foot of the desolate mountain. He was described as having sharp features, a cold and stern expression, and a long ponytail. He was a background character in the original novel who never actually appeared. He leaped into the river to rescue Lin Xiazhi, viciously kicked Yang Zhaodi in the head causing her to sink, then quietly left after dropping Lin Xiazhi off at the riverbank. The original owner of Lin Xiazhi's body had crossed paths with him while hunting rabbits but they had never spoken.
