Lu Qingran's stepsister, originally named Wang Zhaodi, same age as Lu Qingran (15). She is the daughter of Yao and her previous husband Wang Daniu. She is plain-looking with a sharp, mean personality inherited from her mother. She was originally betrothed to Yan Dalang of the Yan family but refused to marry into the poor family and attempted suicide rather than go. She often joined Yao in mistreating Lu Qingran out of jealousy over Lu Qingran's prettier appearance.
